The windshield is actually a piece of safety equipment designed to hold you inside the car in a horrific accident. Once the windshield has a crack, the integrity of the safety equipment is compromised and should be replaced. Repairing it is not suitable. If your seat belt was ripped in half, would you feel comfortable sewing it back together? I hope not.

You disconnected the battery. You didn't have the key in the ignition when you connected the new battery!
Resetting a Vehicle Anti-Theft System
This is how you reset an anti theft system if you have the anti-theft light on, or your car is cranking, but you have no spark.

Doing a full reset of the anti-theft system.

Disconnect both battery leads for at least two hours.
Hold the negative and positive leads together for 5 minutes to fully discharge any power.
Put the key in the ignition, but not turned on. VERY IMPORTANT!
Connect the positive lead.
Connect the negative lead in one swift movement.
Wait 15 minutes for the system to fully reset.

When standing on the passenger side looking at the distributor you will see a sideways square ( shape of spark plugs counterclockwise a little ) firing order is this 1 is top left, 2 is top right, 3 is bottom left, 4 is botton right, Now from the same side distributor closest too you, firing order is 4321 going towards drivers side match em up and done.

The biggest reason behind heating issue is the leak in head gasket. Have you checked that?

Oil Viscosity In addition to meeting the SH or SJ classification of the American Petroleum Institute, your oil should be of a viscosity suitable for the outside temperature in which you'll be driving. Oil must be thin enough to get between the close tolerances of the moving parts it must lubricate. Once there, it must be thick enough to separate them with a slippery oil film. If the oil is too thin it won't separate the parts, if it's too thick it can't squeeze between them in the first place either way, excess friction and wear takes place. To complicate matters, cold-morning starts require thin oil to reduce engine resistance, while high-speed driving requires thick oil, which can lubricate vital engine parts at temperatures up to 250°F (121°C). According to the Society of Automotive Engineers' viscosity classification system, an oil with a high viscosity number (e.g., 40) will be thicker than one with a lower number (e.g., l0W). The "W" in l0W indicates that the oil is desirable for use in winter driving. Using special additives, multiple-viscosity oils are available to combine easy starting at cold temperatures with engine protection at turnpike speeds. For example, 10W-40 oil will have the viscosity of l0W oil when the engine is cold and that of 40 oil when the engine is warm. The use of such oil will decrease engine resistance and improve your gas mileage during short trips in which the oil doesn't have a chance to warm up. Some of the more popular multiple-viscosity oils are 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40, 20W-40, 20W-50, and 5W-50. Consult your owner's manual or a reputable oil dealer for the recommended viscosity range for your vehicle and the outside temperature in which it operates. I believe there will be many screws under the car with the splash shield that must be removed. Remove screws/retainers from the fender well liner in each wheel well, but only toward the front (no need to remove the entire thing). Behind the fender liner toward the front of the car you'll see some screws/clips holding the bumper to the front/bottom of the fender.
You'll need to remove each turn signal in the front of the bumper with a long phillips screwdriver. Use a flashlight to look in from the middle of the lower bumper and you'll see a hole where the screw driver goes in (loosen the screw, but it probably wont come out). Pop the lamp assembly out, but don't force it- the opposite side of the lamp has a tab that fits in a slot to help hold it in place.
Look straight back from where the turn signal lamps were removed and you'll see 2 bolts on a metal bracket. There are 2 on each side, behind each lamp. You'll need some long extensions to get all the way in there. Be sure to support the bumper as you take these out, because they are the main support points for the bumper assembly.
Once these are out, the bumper should come off, or at lease you'll see if there were any small screws you missed. FYI, I left almost all of the screws out of my bumper (except one on each side where it attaches to the fender), so all I have to do is remove those 4 main bolts behind the turn signal lights to drop the bumper.

Bad grounds cause weak dim lights and intermittent operation a positive circuit shorting to a metal ground causes shorts and blown fuses burnt connections. You need a wiring diagram for the circuit and need to trace the wires and look for a short. Or if there is no short in the wiring and this vehicle uses a module computer for the lighting the module could be faulty.
