DTC P2430 : Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Pressure Sensor Circuit
Circuit/System Description
The secondary air injection (AIR) system aids in the reduction of hydrocarbon emissions during a cold start. The system forces fresh filtered air into the exhaust stream in order to accelerate the catalyst operation. An electric air pump, the secondary AIR injection pump, provides filtered air on demand to the AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. The AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly controls the flow of air from the AIR pump to the exhaust manifold. The AIR solenoid relay supplies the current needed to operate the AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. A pressure sensor is used to monitor the air flow from the AIR pump. The engine control module (ECM) supplies the internal pressure sensor with a 5-volt reference, an electrical ground, and a signal circuit.

I can't say for sure on your Cobalt, but many GM cars will exhibit your car's symptoms when the negative battery cable isn't secured tightly enough to provide a solid ground. Carefully check the cable connections by attempting to move the cable back and forth where it mounts to the battery, car chassis, or anywhere continuity could be interrupted.

Crank positions sensor might be broke due to collision. Sensor is on the front of the engine at the crank cover. It is what tells the coil pack as to what cylinder to fire in, since the newer engines start on any cylinder instead of only No. 1.

The security, antitheft, or passlock light is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterperates this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle.
This link may help you find ways to bypass this or fix it yourself.

Did you happen to find small pieces of plastic in the driver's floorboard? If so you unwittingly found the problem. The brake light switch is mounted so its plunger presses against a small plastic insert. The insert is pushed into a hole in the break pedal arm. When the brake is not depressed it rests the the upmost position so when the insert (when intact and unbroken) does the pushing up against the brake light switch plunger. Check the condition of the insert in the brake pedal arm and replace if necessary.

You've taken care of some really good things to check. A sensor would be my bet too. However, you could be dealing with a set of loose connectors, most likely a wiring harness when they changed out your transmission; I'd look where the engine-transmission join, or anyplace they would have had to disconnect wires to get to the transmission. They could have been loosely connected, and have come further apart. Perhaps if you find some loose connections, zip tie it or rubber band it together if the connector is cracked or broken.

One is the mode switch and the other is the temp control switch. Do this, start the engine then open the hood and listen for a hiss indicating a vacuum leak on the vacuum reservoir or a broken hose going to the heater control the hoses on this vehicle have to be very brittle by now so get some vacuum hose and have at it I think the vacuum reservoir may be mounted to the hood. I hope this helps. Take care. If this isn't it you can use testimonial to contact me with questions.

It will be ok to drive but it would have put the geometry out on the steering which will cause tyre wear.
