You'll need to take it to the dealer , because it will need reprograming.

One of the accessory bearings could be going out
(I.E.-alternator,water pump, etc)If the noise is near an idler or tensioner pulley,it could also have a bad bearing. The best thing to do is remove the serpentine belt or release the tensioner pulley so the belt is loose, then you can spin each accessory pulley by hand and listen for the noise. You'll also feel the pulley dragging while you spin it and it might have a ratchety feel to it(in other words,as you're rotating the pulley you'll feel it spin somewhat freely and then it will feel as if its catching on something) If the belt itself is bad,it usually makes a squealing or chirping sound. If your vehicle has a vbelt drive with multiple belts, check the pullies the same way as described above and make sure the belts are all tight.A loose belt normally causes a squealing noise rather than a whining noise.Check your power steering fluid level too because the pump will whine if it gets low on fluid.

Hi Lucas, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair

Lucas, first thing to check for is make sure the cooling fans are coming on. Second thing to check and very common issue after replacing the water pump, is air trapped in the system. Make sure you get all the air out of the system. Some systems have an air bleed screw to help with this issue. If the fans are coming on and all the air is out of the system, then you'll want to check for coolant flow in the radiator. CAUSION: Let the engine cool before taking the cap off the radiator. After removing the radiator cap start the engine and let it idle, if the coolant does not flow after reaching operating temp, then you may have a restriction somewhere in the system. The other thing to check is make sure you put the thermostat in correctly, some vehicles you can install it backward, make sure the spring end is going toward the engine. If you have coolant flow and the coolant is blowing out of the radiator you may have a blown head gasket or timing issue. Hope this helps and please send people to my auto-repair-website at: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

If it is a load click(more like bang), like the starter is engaging the flywheel, the engine could be locked up. Use a socket or wrench on the crankshaft bolt to see for sure. If it is a soft click, it is the relay engaging. Replace the neutral safety/range selector switch on the transmission. under the shifter cable.

No. All the major carmakers are very very good about making sure that any connectors can only possibly be plugged in the correct way.

I suspect that your ignition switch is starting to get flaky.

cv joints should not click as that is the first indication of a failed unit
( going slow and changing direction produces a click, click is a cv joint)
wheel bearings should not be tight as that will produce a humming noise and will result in early failure
because the axle turns with the change of direction ,the distance from the pivot point to the transmission changes and so the shaft will move in and out of the transmission to compensate
take it to an accredited drive line specialist for a diagnosis

It's on the passenger side in the firewall under the hood. To replace it you have to buy a remanned one or find one compatible, then have either programmed. at the dealer. But this may not fix your problem. Posts codes. This helps us to help you.
