It is probably not the fuse it is more than likely the connector. Located where the front passenger sits above their feet. Look for the blue wire

Assuming it's the one to the left of the speedometer: If you have a stick shift transmission it's telling you the car believes it's time to shift to the next higher gear. Unfortunately it is quite often wrong and shifting up will lead to lugging the motor which you really don't want to do.

It all depends on the exact model / engine type; but this should be a good start: http://www.feoa.net/threads/drive-belt-diagram.50282/

there are number of things that lead to such situations.
1. you need to check if your fuel pump is still running or if its power supply is not broken. maybe u only need to replace a broken fuse and u are back on the road, or replace the pump.
2. the power supply to the coil pack/module must be checked too. if u still power on these items and and the car fails to start u must consider replacing them both.
3. also pull out and replace ur fuel filters...check if they are not clogged with dirt...if there is dirt it is likely the injectors are blocked too.

I hope this helps u...good luck

these are somethings to look at the timing belt and the timing, intake manfold gasket test it to see if it has a bad head gasket or a bad head on the engine itself also check the fuel filter and the pressure on the fuel pump give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your car wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

There is a flasher unit that controls both the normal indicators and hazard flashers, on a 98 ford escort it is fixed to the base of the indicator stalk switch, if you remove the shroud that covers the switches around the top of the steering column you can see the flasher unit, usually it is black and just plugs in to the bottom of the hazard and indicator switch. The unit should have an ignition supply to it as well as a perm ant supply when the hazard switch is pushed down. Sometimes these switches get sticky contacts so if you bang the switch on and off a few times it can sometimes make the contacts work and then then all the indicators start working again.
