If you tighten one side down before the other this could be an air leak. Loosen it, snug up one corner, then the opposite corner. Then the rest. The do the same when tightening it done. it only takes about 7 foot pounds to seal these. 7 pounds is done with one hand on a short ratchet.

If you take the tail light assembly off and take the bulb out, you'll see three metal contacts on the tail light assembly.  Pry them up slightly and slide a small, folded piece of aluminum foil underneath it.
Replace the bulb and try to reproduce the problem.  I found this fix online and did it to both sides of my car.. no problems since

Is battery fully charged? These new fuel injection cars are very sensitive to battery status.

I doubt its a fuel pressure issue being at idle or at a stop sign is the lowest required fuel pressure during operation other than coasting. Sounds more like an an idle control problem What motor do you have? Auto or manual trans? Need more info about rhe vehicle to point you in the right direction.

If the timing belt were broken, the car would not be driving at all. If those codes weren't confused with another symptom it could be the car needs a tune up. You should think of when the last time plugs, wires, air filter were replaced. If they're pretty new, it could mean a cracked cam shaft sprocket has the engine out of time. Honestly, a full tune up would be cheaper than paying a mechanic to tear down and close up the engine. Good luck!

It would help to know if fuel pressure drops when it fails, or if spark drops out. You could hook up a fuel pressure gauge that you can see from the driver's seat, and use a real time scan tool to see what is happening when it fails.

Sounds like a fuel pump. Some times when the pump is getting ready to quit it will work intermittently and then quit entirely.

you will have low or no compression. The car will overheat. The oil will be contaminated by water. It will not pull very well. It is fairly obvious and easily diagnosable with a compression tester and a little know how
Good Luck

what country?, UK jeeps use diffr rad's and diff, methods......
there are more than one radio (orig) sold with car.
we cant guess the model !@
if you look and read the model there and google you WILL find
out how to set it.
FSM for 2000 USA shows no mention of codes.
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service

do you have the wrong radio in the car off a newer Jeep?
the radio sticker on top tells you year, and model and serial.
all key to finding this method.
but just the front dial has the 3 letter model code.... what is yours.

models RBN, RAZ, RAS? on the face plate it is.... look see it?

http://www.radio-code.com/Dodge_chrysler-Pay-Page-radio-code.htm

ask here.?
http://www.wranglerforum.com/f40/res-radio-security-code-151132.html

the operators guide may have this answer. lost yours?
button presses.... are there, if needed..

rules:
also never pull. the OID fuse with key on, or the radio scrambles.
to fix that error, key off pull that fuse, count to 50 put back.

if you guess 5 times the radio locks for 2hours
some newer RADS have a rule that if you guess too many times'
it bricks forever. (needs service center fix $$$$)

some codes do not exceed 5. 0 to 5,
in this case 8898 is not a code..... so whats with that number?

and last this great site on head ends

http://www.allpar.com/stereo/head-units/

see what radio you have, then ask.

and post the error codes on the display ("wait") or what?

Check the three main grounds. Battery to engine, battery to body, and engine to body. If you cant find one, add it.

I believe you have a speedo which works off an electronic sender unit mounted to the side of the transmission just as the old mechanical style does. Check the disconnect plug at the sender unit for loose or dirty connection, then remove the sender and inspect for worn or broken parts.

Just to clarify...has the battery been inserted the right way round on polarity.check the main 30 amp fuse if this has blow then it is probable that the polarity is back to front.
