Question about 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Our remote key does not work, so we have been opening and locking manually. if the alarm did go off, starting the vehicle stopped it. now, the alarm will not stop. we have disconnected the battery and let it sit overnight, but reconnecting it today, the alarm is still on. how can we get it to stop
If it is the horn, pull the horn fuse or relay. Does the vehicle start and drive, ok? Of course, pulling the fuse or relay isn't the proper fix. I'm just talking about killing the horn, where applicable.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: Remote keys wont open vehicle
You can try calling a locksmith and see if they can get in. Locksmiths can use a tool to open the door by catching the rod inside the door frame. The last time I used a lock smith to open a door, it ran about $35.
I suspect once the battery issue has been resolved, you will need to reprogram the key fobs or figure out how to disable the alarm.

If ithe alarm is factory when they will have to reset the alarm module with a scanner. If the alarm if aftermarket go to the control module and see if it has a reset button. FOBs (remote) can reset alarm. You Jeep is always set for break-in mode. The FOB sets this when ever the FOB is used to lock the doors. May be bad alarm module - Sorry - Good luck

I found a solution on another site showing if i turn the ignition on and hold the reset button on behind the alarm light untill it turns to solid blue light then turn off the ignition , it will disable the alarm.
