Question about 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sport
2007 dodge hemi fuel cap sensor comes on immeadiatly once truck starts. Replaced fuel cap and it obviously did not solve the problem.
I just had the same problem, new cap, deleted the codes with a obd... took it to the dealership...
its the EGR valve that was bad on my truck 2007 dodge ram 45000 miles...
i get it back on friday, its a simple part 1 wire harness and 2 bolts and gasket.

I have the same problem. It started with engine code 0440 (evap system malfunction). I changed the gas cap and now getting the "loose cap" light plus the 0456 (evap leak very small) and 0457 (gas cap loose/off)
Anyone know where the sensor is located?

Try disconnecting battery after replacing cap let sit about a hour re connect battery maybe this will reset it if that does not work back to repair shop or dealer to get proper diagnosis if you do not have the proper tools. what happened to the good old days when you just pulled off the egr valve made a gasket and a plate to block it off and forget it.
