SOURCE: 1989 mark 7 blower motor not working

Jumper battery power to the blower motor if it runs then replace the blower motor speed control resistor, it is located near the blower motor.

Well, you can buy high intensity replacement bulbs. They don't require changing the assembly, just the bulb. Many parts stores sell them for a fairly reasonable price. You could also add driving lights if they are legal in your area.

No spark on a 1996 lincoln mark 8

Hi,

A no spark is due to a failed or malfunctioning Crank Position Sensor locacted by the crank pully, near the AC compressor.

Sometimes you can upplug the sensor and when you plug it back in the car will have spark again.
However,Replacing the sensor does require removal of the AC compressor (due to space limitations) BUT you do not have to disconnect the AC lines.
Simply unbolt the compressor and gently lay it aside, and that will give you the clearance to pull the Crank Sensor from the block.

Good luck!!!

The trunk won't close. It keeps coming up and down . It is a 1989 Mark V11 Lincln .All you have to do is push it down and it automatically closes itself but now it won't.

there is a switch on top of the trunk lid motor assembly. the switch cost $80 at the dealership. but only $8 at a junkyard. (that's where I got mine)

Try swapping out the compressor relay. On the firewall between the MAP sensor and wiper motor there are two relays. The inner relay is the compressor relay.

1989 Lincoln Mark VII Engine back misfires through throttle body

I guess my first question would be when was fuel filter changed last? Fuel pressure tested? With an 89 it may be wise to take it for a scan (EEC IV) on that year I believe. Try filter first, then fuel pressure test if that doesn't help, then scan. To start replacing sensors without any codes to tell you where to focus your attention, could cost you more in the long run. It shouldn't cost much for a quick scan for trouble codes. let us know.
