Question about 2007 Acura RDX

I was driving my 2007 acura rdx when I noticed the

I was driving my 2007 acura rdx when I noticed the sh-awd light on. I then saw the check engine light on. Later when I turned my car on again the check engine light was still on, not the sh-awd light. Autozone told me the P0171 code came up for the check engine light. They recommended I try a fuel injector cleaner and maybe a MAF cleaner but take the code to my mechanic. Thoughts on the code P0171 and the sh-awd light? I also recently had my car diagnosed for a tpms light where my mechanic advised I change one of the sensors ($140). I also had a transmission service done on my car last week.

SOURCE: check engine light on a 2001 Toyota Corolla

I have had numerous problems with my 01 Corolla. Yikes! You need to understand that Toyota will not submitt to universal parts. You must use their parts. Especially on the Cat Converter. Further, don't EVER go to Meineke for repairs if you haven't already. I use www.partstrain.com to get my authentic parts. They are truly the bomb on pricing.

I had the p171 and p420 codes. I replaced the mass air flow sensor, cat converter, and put on new iridium spark plugs.

SOURCE: VSA,SH/AWD AND ABS INDICATOR ALL ON

Not positive, but i think its because of the TPMS (tire preasure monitoring system) on the car. If the tpms valve stems were removed and replaced with normal valve stems then the car will register 0 psi in the tires, causing the alarms. Once again im not a mechanic but i think thats what your problem is.

SOURCE: I replaced EGR valve on my 97 Acura 3.0 CL after

Good news, the EGR valve for the 97 Acura was recalled. If your car is under 150,00 miles you should be eligible to get it fixed for free. I had the same problem with my 97 Acura CL 3.0. After changing the EGR valve, I found out that the vavle itself was not the problem, but rather a blocked intake manifold. Talk your local Acura dealer.

The SH AWD uses electromagnetic clutch in the back drive axle to change the power distribution to the rear wheels. It would have nothing to do with the P0171 error. What TPMS valve stem was bad? Because this could be a clue to what the problem is. If a rear tire is having issues it could cause the sensor to make adjustments to the system to compensate for the tire. The person that changed the TPMS might have also caused the issue when they worked on the tires.

That is just a story of some of your vehicles history

There is no real question there or any details to work with,
other than you know your have several OBD Fault Codes
present & need further diagnoses to find all the problems

2007 rdx battery probem replace battery two days later was not starting again charger battery run good park for two days cannot start again check alternartor charge ok

First get the car running.. then with the car running disconnect your battery... if your car dies then your alternator is bad if it stays running then alternator is good.. and you probably have another bad battery... make sure your battery connections are tight. and have the battery checked if all this is good then you need to further inspect your battery lines...

I had my oil changed in my 2007 Acura MDX this morning and the Honda Dealership had no idea how to reset the indicator. How do I do this?

Courtesy of oilreset.com:
Turn the ignition to (II) - do not start the engine. Press the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel repeatedly until engine oil life is displayed. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button for more than 10 seconds. The remaining engine oil life reset mode will be shown on the multi information display. Select RESET by pressing the INFO (??²/??¼) button, then press the SEL/RESET button to reset the engine oil life display. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset. *Models equipped with the keyless access system have an engine start/stop button instead of an ignition switch. Pushing start/stop button once without starting engine is equivalent of ignition (II).
Best of luck! Greg
