Check you are getting power on both sides of the bulb holder.

licence plate bulb is on the same circuit as the tail lights
if you have tail lights but no number plate light ,then problem is in the bulb holder or wiring

Remove the license plate and remove the lamp assembly. 2 screws. Bulb is behind.

2001 license plate bulb


Use a screwdriver in the recess on the plate light. Pry out the light unit. Release bulb from the contact spring. Install the bulb using a reversal of the removal procedure. Make the tension of the contact springs sufficient to hold the bulb firmly.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fuse for the brake lights for a ford transit 260 y reg


I have a ford transit 2001 van and need to change the fuse as brake lights have gone but do not know what fuse it is in the fuse box. Can anyone help.

No brake lights


you need to check for power and ground at the bulb sockets.
may have a broken wire/ corroded connector somewhere.
