Question about 2005 Dodge Ram 1500
When i drive the truck i have it in drive i press the gas peddle the truck does not have enough power to make it shift
Its the rev limiter. its suppose to do that when the engine has no load or the vehicle is stationary so you don't break the engine. now when your moving and it happens check fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter, etc.

I have seen this many times it most of the time was caused by a leak in the intake or air plenum ,you can test for that using a water bottle with a mist spray around the intake should change RPM.'s as it draws the water in ,telling you the area that is leaking BE CARFULL. MOVEING parts hope this is helpful. let us know how we are doing Thank You.
