Question about Acura Cars & Trucks
I'm putting the parts back onto my car from doing the job of replacing the head gaskets. I'm at the point where the mount has to be put on and the brace. I read that the plastic shield is suppose to be put on first, before the brace but I can't seem to get it on with the plastic shield in the way. I need to know if I'm doing something wrong or if I'm suppose to be doing something else first or what? I need help, please?

sealers usually end up costing you more in the long term than the short term. these sealers react to heat and air. so you end up doing nothing more than plugging up you radiator, water passage ports, water pumps get damaged. causing more over heating problems than they solve. no i would go for what the shop gave you as a quote. that seems a pretty reasonable quote for the position you are in.

I doubt they did anymore damage but i`ll bet that the engine was damaged from the training going out such as valve guides and seals and carbon build up on plugs ETC.

I just finished installing a new cylinder head on my 1993 cavalier... about 6 months from when I tore it apart until I finally had the time and money to get it back together... so I understand the challenge of not being able to remember how everything went together, and having to work through it till I got it. Maybe I can help with photos or specific questions.
