It will start fine after starting with starting fuild....idk if I'm right ....but as u turn on any car or truck there's the fuel pump dat pressurized the line for the gas to start flowing and get it going....but on my car there is no noise coming from the fuel pump...but once it start its ok....just only when starting n morning.....

Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. Use a gage and check fuel pressure, 45 psi, key on engine off. Check fuel injector pulse, when problem is ongoing. When problem is ongoing, w/o starter fluid, if you use jumper cables, does it help? The reason I ask, engine cranking, the systems get battery voltage, engine running, the system gets generator voltage, that can be several volt difference, so i wondered about voltage drop on one of those systems, fuel pump or fuel injectors? Just a thought.

Sounds as if you are talking about a diesel. You do not have enough specifics, but there are a couple scenarios. Perhaps you are not getting enough minimum engine rpm for start. If you have for instance, hydraulic electronic unit injectors, you may have a leakage issue where the oil can't build enough pressure to initiate injection until the engine rpm is assisted with the starting fluid boost. For example, This is a common Ford 6 liter issue.

Clean out the throttle body with carb cleaner. If that doesnt work, take the idle air control off the throttle body and give that a good cleaning. That will fix your issue.

SOURCE: 2006 dodge grand caravan-car won;t start.

Test at the spark plug if you are getting current there with a cheap spark plug tester, if not, it could be the spark box. ( it used to be an ignition coil on older cars ) double check the computer for codes which may lead to a cam sensor not giving the PCM information.

SOURCE: 2006 dodge grand caravan-car won;t start.

My 2003 dodge caravan would not start after driving about 1/2 hour. I stopped for coffee and when got back in to start it started I switched gears and it stalled. I tried to start again switched gears then it started but only for 2 sec. No clicking, no cranking sound just would not start but battery functions were great. Spent 2 days with a mechanic who could not resolve so sent to Dodge. After a day of putting wires back and checking out the problem they said it was the computer. Said that it was bad and could be replaced at no charge due to malfunction. Yes, it worked fine afterwards no more problems. They also said that some of the computers are found to be defective like this one so I hope this helps you in the right choice to have the dealer check it out if you are unable to get a computer reading and there is no obvious short in the system. Free sounded very good but as you know there is no such thing as really free as they got me for other things $350 worth. ouch!

SOURCE: Car has been sitting; will turn over but won't

My first thought is to check the fuel pump operation.
Check to see if fuel pump is getting power.

This is how I check the pump.

Usually there is an in-line fuel filter that can be removed.
While its removed...bump the starter to see if gas shoots out the gas line.
If not, there might be a clog at the pump...or the pump needs replacing.

Hope this helps...

Why won't it start?

There should be a clutch safety switch that prevents you from cranking the engine with the clutch engaged.
Have you checked the switch for power ?

It won't turn over

Try this procedure:
Check the battery like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection, and proper voltage at the starter.
Problem is most likely the Solenoid's bendix gear or starting relay, Have someone bang on the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging the bendix gear..
Hope this helps.

Ford focus won't turn over ,was fine this morning parked up now won't start getting whinning sound from side of engine

If the temperature is low, then the engine might have struck up. You need to give heat and then try starting. If you still face the problem, then open the front and check if any wires have been cut off or else call or an mechanic to solve the problem,

Thanks

Chevrolet Tacuma Won't Start

Hi Paul brad hear, if you have spark plugs working i.e. sparking and fuel coming into the engine something has got to happen, many not start but it would backfire cough because when those two things come together something always happens. OK The other thing that would keep it from starting, the timing change or gear has broken and the cam is not turning. Im not sure if the Tacoma has a chance or gears. good luck

Lights work, horn blows, ignition lights work, but key will not start the car. we've had starter and selinoid checked all is good

check the relays and fuses in the car, like the fuel pump relay, starter relay, all of the types of relays that are needed for the car to start. Although if the engine is turning over, then it is not the starter relay, then you would have to check if you have spark or if you are getting fuel. You can check if you are getting fuel by spraying starter fiuld into the intake, after doing so try to start the car, if the car starts then you are not getting fuel.
