I changed the termostat on my 2005 gmc sierra and now it overheated please help

Thermostat is possibly installed wrong/backwards, defective, or you have a large air bubble in the engine. After you changed the therm you must run the heater ( fan on low) to help purge extra air. Hope this helps. Good Luck

2005 GMC Sierra 1500 - heater blows, but only cold air

Check coolant level. Check for heat at the heater hose going from water pump to heater core at firewall. Check to see that cable is moving coolant control valve from the closed to open position. Low mileage so it shouldn't be plugged heater core.

Towing help on 2005 GMC Sierra 1500

You really, really want a suspension specialist. Look in the yellow pages. You want a place that not only sells stuff but installs it. The kind of place that puts new springs in trucks, esp bigger trucks. They'll be in a larger city. In addition, you might want to get rid of the lift kit. It is affecting your handling but that's not your real problem, just a thought. Perhaps even, the guy who installed the lift kit moused the rear suspension, otherwise it would not be lower now. I suspect you have even less suspension than the truck came with.

Air con

have you a/c compressor relay checked. also check your evaporator coor and your condenser to see if they are clogged to where the air will not flow threw. that can cause some problems for the a/c. if it cant breath it cant cool. all so i no this sound stupid but check your air filter to your intake. i have seen a dodge that would not blow cold air or much air at all cause the breather filter was completly stopped up

Fuel filter location Sierra

I have been told by a mechanic that the fuel filter is inside the fuel tank. Have to either drop the tank or remove the pickup bed. Access is on the top of the tank. This is poor engineering.
