On your hyundai elantra find the oil tank and next to it you'll get the drain plug.

I would like to know the recommened type of oil to use for the standard oil change in a vehicle with 100000 miles? The vehicle is a 2004 Hyundai elantra

with the age/mileage of your car it still depends on oilburn,
if you are using less than 1 pint every 1000m then use 10/40 if more, then use 20/50.(HYUNDAI/Kia service book EUROPE.)it is a ploy by certain people in the oil/car industry to make you spend more on "ultra"low viscosity oils ALSO, Hyundai/Kia have NEVER used 5/30 in ANY of their cars EVER.

I have a 1995 Hyundai elantra 5 spd 1.6L 4cyl leaking oil

It maybe a valve cover leak, the retangular covers (2) the sparks plugs are located along the side, if you see oil around you will need to have the valve cover gasket replaced

Rule of thumb; if you can't find the oil pan then you do NOT have the skill it takes to change the oil!

Oil change procedure on a 2005 Hyundai elantra

it is very easy to change the oil put the car on ramps secure the back end look for the drain plug underneath the engine make sure you have the right size wrench and when you remove the plug also check the gasket on the plug to make sure it is not cracked you will also need an oil filter wrench and my other suggestion to you is to go to autozone to see if they have a Haynes repair manual for your car and if they don't see if they can order you one in the mean time they can also print you off a diagram of how to change the oil in you car safely
