Question about Ford Escort
When they get hot (fuel pump) they lose pressure as they get older-fuel keeps the pump cool, so within reason, having a 1/2 tank or better should help unless it is past the point of usefullness-you are going to have to replace the pump, sooner better an later or it will leave you stranded.
