Quit running 2010 Husaberg FE 390

Fe390 husaberg stops midway ride won't start to wait 30 minutes goes then stops change fuel filters still the same problem @

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery must have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
2. Faulty alternator/generator and or voltage regulator.
3. Loose or corroded battery terminals and or cables especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, look for loose, corroded, or broken connectors inside the cable harness at "BOTH" ends.
4. A faulty main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.
5. Faulty system relay or ignition relay, check for continuity.
6. Faulty ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.
7. Faulty CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.
8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.
9. Faulty neutral, side stand or clutch lever safety switch.
10. Fuel tank empty
11. Fuel tank contaminated with ethanol sludge.
12. Water or dirt in the fuel system, or clogged filter.
13. Quick disconnect check ball stuck.
14. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
15. Faulty fuel pump.
16. Faulty pressure regulator.
17. Faulty or clogged fuel injectors.
18. Lean angle switch is faulty or needs adjustment.
19. Catastrophic engine failure, perform a compression test.

Hi, Lance and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting/leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or electronic control module.
7. Faulty pulse coil.
8. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
9. Faulty ignition switch.
10. Faulty run/off switch
11. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
12. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Spark plugs in bad condition or have an improper gap or are partially fouled.
2. Spark plug cables in bad condition.
3. Battery damaged or nearly discharged, should have 12.5 volts.
4. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Throttle controls not adjusted correctly.
6. Water or dirt in the fuel system.
7. Water or dirt in the carburetor.
8. Intake air leak.
9. Fuel tank vent hose and vapor valve plugged, or fuel line closed off, restricting fuel flow.
10. Choke valve inoperative.
11. Engine lubricant to heavy (winter operation).
12. Ignition is not functioning properly (possible sensor failure).
13. Faulty ignition coil.
14. Valves sticking.

Hard starting 2010 husaberg 570


1st thing to check is the fuel filter cloth in the bottom of the tank. These bikes came with plenty of crud in the tank that will clog the pick up filter bag in the tank. Once youve checked/fixed that... Check for wire chafing on the frame, its very subtle and difficult to notice. I found mine on the upper section under the rear section of the tank/airbox where it passes through the frame. Mine killed the coolant fan I added. Then I was blowing 10a fuses when I tried to start. After repairing the wiring, add a piece of fuel line or heater hose to prevent a reoccurring issue. Hope this helps

My2011 570 seems to run out of fuel and simply stop. After about 5 min it will start then a few minutes latter after riding it simply stops again. It will not start immediately. Tried the basics of taking...


Sounds like you have the common problem of a plugged fuel pick up. You need to remove the fuel pump, pickup, and sender unit deep in the fuel tank. Its quite common for these bikes to come with a substanitial amount of junk in the tank. There are fuel pickup sceens available for the pickup that seem pretty good at preventing this problem form reoccuring. once you remove the pick up unit, clean the screen (usually plugged with plastic mold remnants. You may want to check the injector if it doesn't run 100% after reassembly. Injector fouling is rare nut not unheard of. Husaberg.org is a good forum for owners

Husaberg (FE 501-03)Stator problem


I have never heard of a stator preventing a motorcycle from starting. You need a professional, local, second opinion before you plunk down any bucks.

Unless that is, are you calling a magneto a stator? Does your motorcycle have a battery? If it has a battery, you probably do not have a magneto.

Hi i was ridiny my husaberg and it just stopped i have a spark petrol gettin threw tryed easy start and still nothing wot could be my problem


3 things needed to start a engine fire, fuel and air, so you have 2 of the 3 i would look at air line on carbs any splits on carb vaccum lines ect. hope this helps
