Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

The problem with your TFT panel, please consider the replacement of your panel module.
or you can solve this problem buy disconnecting some strip connections from T-CON board to the panel, BUT THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE SOLUTION FOR THE PROBLEM, this may be a temporary solution, you can find this type of solutions with video tutorial on www.youtube.com

Rather than alarm you... I am going to comfort you with an entertaining VIDEO... If you take the brief moment to watch it. you will find the possibility of a "pack re-seat" solution...
(cleaning contact by removing & replacing the same pack) .

((in an industrial application should get you fired/demoted))

The contact surfaces should be properly treated "cleaned".
Or a fairly inconsequential pack replacement...

Watching this "TAMPATEC" can lead you to believe it is safe & easy to go INSIDE your set... Not correct.

First... you can get zapped (always dangerous) and second...
a mere (tiny) static spark can DESTROY all the collateral equipment your are NOT trying to fix... BIG EXPENSIVE parts... rending your ENTIRE unit a useless pile of waste.

I adore watching this guy...
particularly liked the part where he ADMITS he damaged ANOTHER BOARD with ESD (Electro-Static discharge)

Professionals do remove power (whenever possible.
and do know how to wear ESD Wrist-Straps (anti-static) circuit pack handling!!

Watch the video... go to shopjimmy.com and find out how much ($$) and IF you pack is available.

Take lots of pictures & put everything exactly back as you found it. The only guarantee I will provide: If you go in carelessly YOU WILL further damage your equipment.

Good luck & happy hunting

Fault in the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

You have to start troubleshooting from the main power regulator board itself. Products powered by electricity should be serviced or repaired only by experienced professional technicians. Any attempt to service or repair the product by anyone else could result in serious injury or death. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electrical shock. Instead, contact the nearest service centre.

Hi Sherry, you can test your remote control to see if all the keys work correctly
Take your cell phone, put in camera mode and point the emitting LED of the remote control towards the camera,
press the keys, one at a time and see if the emitting LED is illuminated, if so, try the volume up key, if the light does not turn on, you could carefully disassemble the remote control and clean the contacts and the keyboard internally rubber,
Do not use alcohol to clean
the rubber keyboard, you can clean it with warm water and detergent then let it dry very well,
the contact plate, you can use a cloth with some liquid to clean the glass,
the idea is to remove the rubber residue on the contacts
then arm again and test, but you have results consult a specialized technical service
I hope you find the suggestion useful
Greetings Franco Dosil

Aron,

To perform a reset you will need to disconnect the TV completely from power for at least 30 seconds, if this doesn't resolve your problem then you may have hardware that has expired in your device. Without physically looking at your device I can't say with certainty what your problem is, it could be your PCB. There are video's online you can visit on how to test a PCB for faults.
If you are not comfortable troubleshooting your device I would suggest contacting a local electronic repair shop near you, however I will link you to a generic instructional video showing you how to perform basic troubleshooting of your device.

Hope this helps,
Best regards

Although I am just guessing, most Sony equipment uses metric screws. Go to a Home Depot or similar store and take the piece that you have that contains the threaded fittings and they will help you find the screws you need. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/793567/Sony-Kdl-32xbr6.html?page=7#manual This page of the manual gives some info about the screws such as not longer than 1/2" (or 12mm) to prevent damage to the set. Sony customer service may be able to supply replacement screws too.
