Every Hoover I've had has two screws on the bottom that you remove.  Then you lift off the cover and you pry out the brush roller. The new belt goes with one end on the motor shaft and the other end on the humped roller part on the brush roller.  Good luck it's a bit of a struggle but you can do it.

When you receive advice from this website you have to understand that without the item in front of us, we are only able to provide "a best guess" as to what the problem might be based on you description of the defect.  If you haven't described a clear and precise description of the defect you decrease the chances of an accurate reply.  Thank you.

Any coarse thread screw about 1/2" long will work. There's no real "threads" inside, its just cut when they put the screws in at the factory.

With the hood off you should see a metal shaft sticking out from the motor about 2" (directly below the handle) this is what turns the brushroller. It should be fairly obvious. I've never seen one break, so thats unlikely. Unless the motor housing melted. It only requires taking off the hood to change a belt on them.

Pry the 4 plastic knobs holding the hood on, outward from underneath. There will be a little screwdriver and an arrow on the bottom pointing to each one. Lift off the hood and you'll be able to see whats going on. Good Luck.

Your best bet is checking the owner's manual.

Yes it is the cam actuator spring. It keeps tension on the height adjustment wheels. Hope this helps.

The bag chamber is not sealing properly. Turn on the unit again, block up the hose with one hand and feel around the bag door to determine where the suction loss is coming from. It could be near the bottom of the door where one of the tabs have not been inserted properly. Good luck!

In figures 3-21 to 3-23 you will see how the new belt is attached and they point out where the motor spindle is. If you have problems, please contact me.
If you find this information to be of help, I would appreciate a rating in the FixYa system. Thank you. Paul
