Check you filter money or object may have been stuck in pump

The base of the tub assembly rests on a white plastic ring called a 'snubber'. If any type of lubricant gets in this area, the tub will wobble excessively. The major cause for this issue is a failed transmission where oil has leaked out and into the snubber. The transmission may be warranted for 10 years. Check your owners manual. A good method to check for oil is to tilt the machine back and remove the plastic cover in the center of the pulley, if it contains oil, the transmission is leaking also look at the inside cabinet wall for signs of oil splatter.

yes you can do it yourself no special tools are need just a couple good flathead screwdrivers and a lot of patiance be sure to put all the new washers and bearing back on in the same order the old ones came off putting the C clip on can be a little tricky but take you time and it can be done you may hvw to use the flat head to pry on the trans. shaft to get the clip in the groove then use a pair of chanell locks or pliers to snap it on if you get a new style bearing it may not look like the one you take off and not have all he washers just snap the small plastic pice onto the bearing put it on the the pulley the most of the time just the thin washe then the C clip the dust cover put belt back on the test machine

Im not an expert, but.Ok, but it wash? The only problem is at spin? if not wash at all:
Disconnect from the outlet, remove the belt, and by hand turn the pump and drum. Its suppose to move with low resistance in both directions, will not spin freely, but turn easy by hand. Do the same with motor. IF the drum and pump moves in both directions, I suspect about the motor.
If the only problem is at spin:
Do the same, but place special attention at the drum when you turn in reverse. Look if you see the brake Disk turn.

Hi, recently I worked with mi atlantis. I found the problem is the brake. It wash, and drain, but when motor reverse for spin, the basket do nothing. The big plastic pulley under the brake is supose to lift the brake when spin. But in my case The brake disk stuck with the stator part. I remove the washer front panel, remove the belt, remove the plastic pulley without loosing any part( look for mounting order), disconnect basket hoses, and unload the 6 or 7 springs around them. Once removed and on the floor, you will see at the bottom a caution label, well that is the Stator, placed with few 5/16 bolts. Its supouse to use a special tool to handle the spring inside, (but I simple handle it replacing two long screws and then unscrew it. be careful) Once removed that plate, I have the brake disk and the spring. I sanded all the brake and leave a little uneven surface, and assembly all again. It works and only need a new belt just in case. I also have the oportunity to pressure wash the basket.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Bad odours could be coming from a few places.
  1. the plumbing u-bend of the washer's room or
  2. the fact that there is 'foul' water being left in the drum.
  3. No washes at 90 degree+ !
I would suggest checking the plumbing u-bend for trouble first, then following the notes on checking and cleaning the drain filter and the drain pump to ensure there is nothing 'obnoxious' hanging around the two of them! Finally run the occasional 90+ wash to kill bacteria.
Here are my complete and general guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C
