I have a problem in my hp laserjet M1136 ie. show a E8 error , how can i remove it..

Try uninstalling the software and rebooting the computer then reinstall the software etc, especially the drivers. They usually tell you when to plug the printer in via usb usually after the software is install it will tell you when to plug it in.

Make sure the paper type is appropriate
Clean the printhead
Align the printer using the control panel
--Touch the Tools icon on the touch screen.
--Touch Tools .
--Touch Align Printer .
When the alignment is complete, the product prints a test page and the control panel displays a message indicating whether or not the alignment was successful.

there no driver for xp in lexmark website the only driver availale is for vista you download the driver by this link:

It could be faulty cartridge issue. Try to replace a new genuine cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

It could be due to the encoder strip (transparent strip found behind the cartridge carrier - responsible for the movement of the cartridge carrier along its assembly) not seated properly. Try to open the printer cover and access the cartridge area. Make sure the encoder strip is not loose and still in its proper place.

It could be that one of the cartridges is not seated properly in the cartridge carrier. Please try this approach to fix the problem.

1. Make sure the printer is on.

2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy. Note: If the carrier does not automatically move to the center, turn off the printer/unplug the printer from the power source and then slide the carrier to the center.

3. Remove both cartridges from the carrier.

4. Close the printer cover.

5. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.

7. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.

8. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.

9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new cartridge. Then try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X3480 printer driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on FILTER > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.

I regret to inform you that the Lexmark X3480 printer is not compatible with Mac. This model only works on Windows operating system.
If you wish to check on some newer models that offers new features, more flexible and can work on multiple operating system including Mac, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

It could either be due to a stuck cover sensor or the cartridges in your printer. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

1. Make sure the printer is on.

A quick fix for most communication problem can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power outlet. When the printer turns on, reconnect the printer into your computer. Try to scan again.
