Tip & How-To about Electronics - Others

2004 Honda Pilot Left Hand Window Controls.

Just sharing that if you change out the controller arm for the window raise and lower, and you are trying a test run of the new control arm before installation,

YOU WILL NEDD TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL, ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS ARE HOOKED BACK UP. INCLUDING THE DOOR SAFETY PANEL LIGHT.
( No need for the speaker connection at this point).

If if you have one electrical plug not plugged back into where it came from, you will not get any action from the window motor control arm AT ALL !!!!!!

Hope this helps someone soon. Thanks goes to another user of this sight of open knowledge as he had mentioned it in a reply that I was able to read and add to I hope.

How do I change rear coil spring on 2009chevy traverse

You are first going to have to support the lower control arm that the spring is mounted to. Start by removing the wheel, then disconnect the lower control arm from the knuckle/hub assembly. This should be supported with the jack. Slowly lower the jack and by doing so this will free the spring. You may have to slightly pull it out from the spring seat pocket area. Place the new spring back in the seat and have a helper slowly raised the jack while you position the arm back into position.

front lower control arm replacement

To remove the lower control arm raise and support your car with jack stands.Next you want to remove the wheel that you are replacing the control arm on.Remove the ball joint nut and tie rod nut.Tap the steering knuckle to break the tie rod end loose from the knuckle DO NOT HIT THE TIE ROD SO HARD YOU DAMAGE THE THREADS.If you do you will also be changing a tie rod end.Tap on the steering knuckle until your ball joint stud comes loose.Remove the 2 bolts that mount the control arm to the frame. To install the new one just go in reverse.

how to fix a ball joint in a ford tempo

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION The lower ball joint is integral to the lower control assembly and cannot be serviced individually. Any movement of the lower ball joint detected as a result of inspection requires replacement of the lower control arm assembly.
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
  3. Remove the nut and bolt securing the ball joint to the steering knuckle.
  4. Remove the nut and bolt securing the control arm to the vehicle sub frame. To install:
  5. Install the control arm assembly to the vehicle sub-frame using the nut and bolt. Tighten the nut to 69-86 ft. lbs. (93-117 Nm).
  6. Install the lower ball joint into the steering knuckle and secure it with the nut and bolt. Tighten the nut to 32-43 ft. lbs. (43-59 Nm).
  7. Install the wheel and tire assembly and lower the vehicle.
  8. Road test the vehicle.
