Question about Fisher and Paykel GWL11 Top Load Washer

Fisher Paykel GWL 15 Rotor Position Sensor

Is there a way to test the Rotor Position Sensor from a Fisher Paykel GWL15 Washer with a multimeter? I got trouble code 130 and the manchine would drain but not spin, then beep constantly and show the code. Cleaned the contacts to the RPS and those of the harness. Now there's no error code, but at rinse or spin cycle, the pump runs on and on and the agitator simple turns 1/5 or so of a turn forward then backward, but the drum will not spin. Incidently, the agitator does agitate well through was cycle. Thanks for any help.

Does It just shake bowl left & right, it will soon give you fault code 56.
Well its a board problem you will need to get technician to fix this board, three resistors(R129,R130,R131) need to be changed for a 1MegOhm resistor.

The drain pump is jammed. Switch off and remove the plug from the wall socket. Tilt the machine back so you can look under it. On the right you will see a motor which looks like it is upside down. This is your drain pump. Remove the wiring harness from the pump and turn the pump clockwise while pulling back the little white plastic clip which holds the pump in place. Clean thoroughly and replace pump.

SOURCE: My GWL 11 is stuck right before the rinse cycle.

Hi just read your posting. Now bail some of the water out by hand with a pot or small bucket so you can lean the machine back far enough to look underneath the machine without it leaking everywhere. Now when are looking underneath the machine look to the front right and you should see a red or black fan,This is your pump.Turn the fan clockwise and anticlockwise a few times to loosen the pump if any thing is jammed. The fan should spin freely. Now put the machine back on its feet and select a spin cycle and hopefully the machine starts to drain. Please reply to tell me how you got on or if the machine is still not draining or you have the other type of pump.Good luck.

My Fisher Paykel GWL 15 will only fill if Hot wash is selected. Should I call a service technician? Thanks Glenn

Try to swap the plugs and hoses to the hot /cold solenoids see if that works the hot valve with cold water if work you need to buy a cold valve.

F P GWL15 Washer cold & Hot water will not fill valves stop and start rapidly then the machune beeps and shuts off

Sounds like a rotor position sensor problem and that part is fitted to the motor itself.

My washer GWL15 has been a piece of **** since we bought the darn thing....now codes are saying it's out of balance...I've tried leveling it with a level and centering the drum...but it still stops...

This means the motor control is getting a faulty signal from the RPS (Rotor Position Sensor). Check for a bad connection between the RPS sensor (located on the stator for the direct-drive motor) and the controller, or a bad RPS sensor.
We stock the replacement RPS sensor, you can order it here.

Code error 131.

Hi just read your posting.Error Code 131 is called REPETITIVE ROTOR POSITION SENSOR ERROR..The 3 reasons this fault is appearing is 1--the wiring to the rotor sensor is faulty.--2--the rotor sensor is faulty.--3-- the motor controller is faulty. If you have or can borrow an electrical test meter I can help you test the wiring but to test the rotor sensor you need a tester called RPS tester. Please reply on how you would like to proceed an I will help you as much as I can.

Fault 130 Cold water valve cycling on and off rapidly. On spin, pump cycles on and off rapidly.

Hi just read your posting Now error code 130 means you have a Single Rotor Position Sensor Error. That means the Rotor Sensor which is attached to your motor is faulty or the wires to it are broken. The other fault it could be is the motor controller. The only way to test the Rotor Sensor is with an RPS tester.I can help you test the continuity of the wires that go to the Rotor Sensor if you have or can borrow an electrical test meter. If i had to guess which part is faulty, It would be the Rotor sensor.Hope this helps and please reply for further help.
