SOURCE: Corrupted profile on XBox 360

I have heared that if you just delete the profile, just the profile, everything will be just fine (note: This only works if your profile is on xbox live).
Just go to memor, then go into the saving device the corrupted profile is on. Then "click" on the botton that says profile and delete the corrupted profile. Remember; the profile will be a small save and not taking up most of your harddrive, look for something with MB size, not GB size. When you have done this, go to "recover gamertag" and do so for the profile you just deleted. After all this, your game saves and achivements should be present and working.

SOURCE: Cannot sign into xbox live,

Hi loads of people are having the same problem, xbox live must be having some downtime or server issues if you was the only one then it could be your end but in the last hour their have been loads of posts regarding this problem and all users are getting the same message.<br /> <br /> try switching you xbox off and back on and if it still dont connect then your going to have to wait i would try again in an hour or two, usually down time for the servers is a couple of hours while xbox install updates to xbox live, its not a problem your end so dont get changing any settings, the problem is with xbox live so just bare with them and it will sort itself out.<br /> <br /> the last time this happened was about 6months ago and the downtime was just over 4 hours, so bare with them for a bit and it will be sorted.<br /> <br /> you could try logging into the xbox site on the net and not through your xbox and check the xbox chat rooms and you will be able to find out more their.<br /> <br /> let me know if you need further assistance ok<br /> <br /> plz rate this solution as i have a whole page on unrated posts, thanks<br /><br />goto www.xbox.com/support and it should tell you whats happening and about any downtime they are having, you need to go to this site from your pc, have a look in the chat rooms this problem is with all xboxes so dont change any settings the problem is their end<br /><br />plz rate this solution<br />

SOURCE: Notice:current profile is not allowed to play on

to play online you must pay for an xbox live gold subscription. you can do it on your xbox where it says upgrade profile, online at the xbox website under the my xbox tab, then accounts, then under membership options choose upgrade/manage account or you can buy a gold subscription card at any games store. the smallest you can get is 1 month for just over ten dollars, or 12 month which is usually about 80 dollars. note that you need a valid credit or debit card to purchase online.
hope this helps

Download your Xbox Live profile
You might want to download your Xbox Live gamer profile in the following situations:
  • You want to use your Xbox Live gamertag on another console.
  • You have a Zune, Games for Windows, or Windows 8 Microsoft account (download your existing account instead of creating a new account).
  • You accidentally deleted your Xbox Live gamertag from your console.
You can download your Xbox Live gamertag to any console. Here's how:
  1. Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).
  2. Select Download Profile.
  3. Note Not seeing Download Profile? Press X to sign out of your profile.
  4. Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox Live gamertag. If you don't know your Microsoft account or password, see Find your Microsoft account or password.Note "Microsoft account" is the new name for what used to be called "Windows Live ID." It's the email address and password you use to sign in to Microsoft services (including Xbox Live). Find out more.
  5. Now, enter your Microsoft account password.Note If your account is an Xbox Live child account, the parent's Microsoft account information is required to download the profile.
  6. Select the storage device for your profile (for example, Hard Drive).
  7. Your profile will begin downloading. Once your profile is downloaded, you can choose whether or not you want to require your Microsoft account password to sign into your profile.

When i try to play black ops live it says this profile cant play on xbox live

One of a few possabilities.

The profile you are signed into might not be a Gold profile? You need to have a piad live account (or trial account) to be able to play online.

The profile you are using might be setup to be a child account and has used parental control to block access to live.

Or you might have had you account blocked for one reason or another from Microsoft. Contact them dirctly if you feel this might be the case.

Cant sign in to xbox live because when i try it says enter pass code

If you have forgotten your pass code, and if you have to remove it to sign into Xbox LIVE, follow these steps:

Note The following steps apply only to Xbox LIVE online profiles. When you delete an offline profile, you lose any Gamerscore that is associated with the profile. You also lose achievements and statistics that are associated with the profile.
  1. Delete the profile for which you forgot the pass code. To delete a profile, follow these steps:
    1. In the My Xbox area, select System Settings.
    2. Select Memory.
    3. Select the memory device on which your profile is stored.
    4. Select Gamer Profiles.
    5. Select the profile that you want to delete.
    6. Select Delete. When you are prompted, select Delete Profile Only.
  2. In the Xbox LIVE section of the Xbox Dashboard, select Recover Gamertag from Xbox Live.
  3. Select Yes when you receive the following message: To join Xbox LIVE, you must exit your current session.
  4. Enter the gamertag for which you want to remove the pass code, and then select Done.
  5. Select Next.
  6. In the E-mail Address section, type the Windows Live ID credentials (the e-mail address and password that you use to sign in to the Windows Live ID) that are associated with your gamertag, and then select Done.
  7. Enter the password for the Windows Live ID account, and then select Done.
  8. Select Sign In.
  9. If you want to set the pass code again, follow the steps to set an Xbox LIVE pass code.

IF your profile is not an xbox live account, your xbox profile cannot be recovered, however, if your account is an xbox live account all you need to do is have no one signed in, press the center xbox button, go down to recover account and enter your information
