What sort of chemical because 1 ounce is 28.3495231 grams
so if you drop 1 zero you would move the decimal 1 place so in theory you would use 2.83495231 grams for 500 gallons
however some chemicals react differently so you really need to know what chemical the safest way would be to contact the manufacturer hope this helps cheers paul

SOURCE: I need to know How

I use 3 oz. of Roundup to every gallon of water and it kills even the local star thistle. They can be used together with the Krovar ratio at 2.4 oz. per gallon.

If a pond takes 3.5 chemical ounces to treat 1,000 gallons, then how many ounces to treat 570 gallons?

Take 1000 into 3.5 (3.5 divided by 1000) to get how much chemical is needed to treat one gallon. Then multiply that value by 570 to get what is needed for 570 gallons.

3.5 / 1000 = 0.0035 * 570 = 1.995 ounces to treat 570 gallons

How much does a gallon weigh

Depends on what you have a gallon of. Water weighs 8.3453 pounds per gallon. Motor oil, being lighter than water, weighs only about 6 pounds per gallon. Other fluids will have varying weights. This is because a gallon is 128 fluid ounces, and a fluid ounce is a measure of volume, not weight.

How much roundup to 1 gal water forwatering can use

6 fluid ounces of Roundup (12 tablespoons) per gallon of water. Small weed seedlings can be killed with half this strength: 3 ounces per gallon. When using Roundup Super Concentrate, mix 2.5 ounces (5 tbsp.) with a gallon of water to control most weeds and a half-strength solution for small weeds. Roundup Pro Concentrate is the strongest solution available. Spray a mixture of 2 ounces (4 tbsp.) on weeds and half that amount of concentrate on emerging plants. Since Roundup doesn't discriminate between weeds and other plants, use the least amount of herbicide possible to protect desirable vegetation.

Instructions for using ortho tree sprayette

The Ortho Tree and Shrub Sprayette has a fixed mixing jet set to a 24:1 ratio. 5.3 ounces of spray concentrate in the jar will mix to produce 1 gallon of diluted spray. The jar has a capacity of 42.7 ounces, so you can spray up to 8 gallons with 1 filling. If you look at the side of the jar, you will see two filling scales. On the left is the diluted spray capacity, and on the right is the concentrate scale. So you will see 8 gallons opposite 32 ounces, for instance.

You must dilute concentrates to the 24:1 mixing concentration. So if your concentrate says 1 ounce/gallon, and you want to spray 6 gallons, put in 6 ounces and add water to the jar to the 32 ounce level.
