Has it ever connected before to this wifi
the protocols you have chosen for that router might be wrong for the tablet.
but since its seeing it then likely its fine
the issue is you dont know the correct password most likely
log into the router (default gatway address 192.168.1.0 <maybe)
use a computer or laptop connected to router to do this.
you might need a tad help it gits complex fast here.

I wifi in my house for multable devices, the Tablet is one of them.well when I powered the tablet on it ask me for password or pin the only problem with that is I never set on up and I have no book for

Probably your WiFi home network is password-protected. You are asked to enter the network password , not the tablet's password. If you are asked about a pin, it means that the tablet is trying to connect to WiFi in WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) mode. You may find the network password in the set up guide of the wireless modem/router. The pin may be on a sticker affixed to the router. You enter the password or the pin, not both.

Maybe try going to the router settings and changing the security settings. See if turning off wifi password solves the problem then turn it back on.

Wifi issue

When you reset the tablet your tablet wifi settings, wifi name and password will be erased. You have to detect your wifi on the tablet, connect to it and enter password right?

My ipad wont let me do anything because it is asking for the password for the hotmail account

My ipad is on and it won't do anything. When you touch the screen to go into emails or anything else, even to turn it off it won't do anything.
