Water with vinegar and lemon will work but they will return. go to your gardening centre and buy a spray container of aphid spray. also water the roses in the morning by spraying them and prune off all dead leaves.

If u have a very less number of plants...U may just spray the plants with a strong jet of water.

some of the toilet soaps will be effective.like the ones containing potassium or coconut oil. so, buy some hand soaps or shampoos, that contain these oils(also soyabean oil, fish, vegetable), make them as a mild liquid solution and spray on ur plants.

If u dont get one, combine ur homemade soap solution with the above mentioned oils and do the same.

Leaves on roses seem to have been eaten

It sounds like you have an aphid problem, common for roses. You have many pesticide options including granules that you sprinkle into the soil before watering and sprays. If you would like organic options, insecticidal soaps are available to purchase, however, they are very simple to make and home recipes abound. You could try this one:

How to get rid of aphids

Their natural predator is the ladybird, so if you spray, look out for them. Aphids are farmed by a species of ant, which care for them, so that may be why you have an infestation.

What can I do about the cherry tree I have that is losing leaves one branch at a time and is dripping with a dark red sap like substance. How can a fix it?

First thing to do is check for insects. You may need a magnification glass. Look for spider webs on it. These are caused by aphids though, not spiders. If you find them, you need to spray with an insecticide that does not poison any fruit. You can use soapy water too and or cedar oil to get rid of aphids. Other diseases of cherry trees include fungal and bacterial infections. These are harder to treat.

Aphids on my roses

Remove them with the nozzle on the water hose that way no insecticide is used. If they come back do it again.
