  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Choose Programs, and then beneath the heading Default Programs, click the link Set Your Default Programs.
The window probably should read Set the Computer's Default Programs because you, a human, have no default programs.
Though the default programs inventory isn't specific to Internet programs, you will find Internet programs in the list.

  1. Choose from the list the program you want to use as your web browser.
One example is Firefox.
  1. Choose the option Set This Program As Default.
  2. Click OK.

Trivigo keeps coming up when i open laptop.

Hi Patrick,

I guess you are trying to change the start up page on your browser such as Explorer, Firefox or Chrome?
This link is for Chrome
Set browser startup preferences
This link is for Explorer
Change your home page in Internet Explorer Microsoft Windows Help
This step is for mozilla firefox
You go to "Tools" by File on the top of your toolbar, then you click on "Options". After that, another window will appear. You will see a "Startup" section, and inside that, you will see a "When Firefox starts" and below that, a "Homepage". On the homepage section, type in the url for Google (http://www.google.com/) and then click "OK" at the bottom of the window. Hope that helps!

I tried it myself.

Googleset homepage

If you are using Firefox or similar, click on the Firefox drop down menu at the top of the window, then click on options. This will be slightly different on other browsers.
Then on the general tab, there is a box for your homepage. change it to www.google.com.
