i guess u need to level it properly, and as i know, there is one or more bolts fixed at the back, the purpose for these bolts is to make a strong structure while shifting, then u must remove them for proper functioning......check the manual...wish u all the best..sam

Chck to see that all (6) suspension springs are still attached. Check the plastic snubber ring below the mechanism and above the base plate for cracks or contamination.

If you are talking about the drain pump strainer, you need to remove the lower front panel. should be 3 screws on the bottom facing forward. Once you have that off, the pump strainer is almost in the center, facing you. unscrew it counterclockwise to remove.
