Question about Westinghouse Televison & Video
Posted by Anonymous on
Hello, try to update the Firmware, search the Internet, on the Westinghouse website, place the model and look for firmware updates and copies in an empty USB memory, without any type of content
In most cases, this is the procedure to follow, after downloading, with the TV off or disconnected, you place it in the USB port of the TV, turn it on and wait for the cycle to end
Confirm on the Westinghouse page that this is the correct procedure
I hope you can solve the problem

If your set was manufactured around July 2005, you may need a firmware upgrade to solve this issue. On the Sony website you can enter your model # and serial # to see if you TV is affected. If so, it is easy to have done and may be free from Sony. It sounds like the issue they described in the writeup on the required formware update. I had mine done within few months of when i bought it (purchased in Dec 2005) and it has been working flawlessly since.

www.cfusion.com has the spare parts for that tv. it sounds like it is the mainboard. shouldn't be more than 150-200 to replace.

HI, this may be a simple cooling issue. try inspecting the cooling fans that are located near the power sector. if these cooling devices are not operational, they will cause the power board to shut down periodically, due to heat build up.
If the fans are operational, this will confirm a weak and defective power power board.

The problem is cause by the transformer on LIPS inverter (Power supply + Inverter board). You could see an obvious burn on the 1 of these transformers ( There are total 3 black transformer on this board). The part number is 4302H. It is available online at http://www.lcdparts.net/TransformerDetail3D.aspx?ProductID=2775
