Error in scanner Follow instructions in the online manual Scanner driver will be terminated Code : 255.0.0 Can you please help me with this problem

Which scanner is this? Error (201) usually indicates some sort of power issue...such as the scanner is not getting enough power. If this is a USB powered scanner you may try connecting to different USB ports on the computer.

Has your scanner been working before?
If so, has anything changed since then such as new printers or other devices added to the computer, or upgraded to a new OS?
Which OS are you using?

When exactly does the error occur?
Does ScanGear open?
Are you able to preview?


Try connecting the USB cable to another port on the computer (directly to the computer...not through a HUB or any other device). Bypassing a hub, which would have to be a powered HUB, or other devices would rule out any issues with those devices.

Ultimately trying the scanner on another computer would rule out issues with the scanner as well.

ok, I solved this problem in an unorthodox fashion but it worked... so far that is. First a little history, I was getting this problem constantly and I was at the point where I was going to dump the machine in the trash... therefore I decided to do a little surgery.
Solution: I ripped off the plastic sides of the scanner and lifted the glass from the front while it was still in the back of the machine. I started to try to scan. After doing that I received a different error. After that error I replaced the glass without the plastic sides and it scanned with no problem. It works for me and it has worked since. Unorthodox? Yes it is, but when I forced a different error and forced recognition. I believe this is a software problem and not a hardware. Good luck to the rest of you. Any questions, I'll try to reply.

Problem after instalation. the SN does not function between the scanner and the instalation program?


click start, control panel ,add or remove programs, remove scanner program. reinstall with cd . after installing search for any up dates and drivers and install , follow instructions in the install manual as to when the scanner is switched on.

The scanner is not available while in use by another application or user i get this darn error. I use this scan multiple times a day and all of a sudden i see this.... why?


Hi,

The error message could be Twain Driver error or ScandAll pro Application error. Please go through the followings:

SCANDALL-PRO APPLICATION ERROR:

Error Code: [SA01020E] No scanner is found.
There is a possibility that no scanner is connected, the connected scanner is not turned on, or the scanner is currently used by some other application.

Status: [Scan] or [Select Scanner] is specified, but no connected scanner is found. Or, the scanner is currently used by some other application.

Action: Make sure that the scanner is connected and is turned on. If the scanner is currently used by some other application, use the scanner after the application ends. Make sure that the driver selected on the [Scan] tab of [Preferences] in the [Tool] menu is installed correctly.

TWAIN DRIVER ERROR:

-The scanner may be OFF or not connected. Check the power supply of the scanner or connection with PC.
-The scanner may be already in use by other application or the "Scanner and Camera" in [Control Panel].Close other application or "Scanner and Camera" in [Control Panel]

-The connected image scanner is not a model supported by this driver. No image scanner is connected. The cable is disconnected.Check whether the image scanner is connected.

-Another application may already be using the image scanner. Alternatively, the TWAIN driver may have been activated twice.Terminate all applications, and start scanning again.

My scanner has not worked since i purchased this printer. My error is as following: CANNOT CMMUNICATE W/SCANNER. cable may be disconected or scanner is turned off. CODE: 2,155,0. PLEASE HELP!!!!


Follow these steps:
1. Unplug the printer.
2. Uninstall the driver.
3. Re-boot your computer.
4. Then reinstall (from the CD if you still have it)
5. Follow install instructions with printer.
6. Test the printer/scanner/etc.
7. If this doesn't work... go to canon's website and download the most current driver for the printer. then redo these steps using the downloaded driver for step 4.

If this doesn't work, return the printer if you still can.

I just bought A Kodak esp 3250 series AIO printer. I can print from computer, copy and all that but whenever I try to scan to computer or even preview scan I get a error saying :An error occurred while...


Try a new USB cable. Scanners require bidirectional communication with the computer and thus can fail when printer itself works. (If you use a print server or USB hub, try a direct connection.) Also try changing USB ports.

Another thing to try is to remove the TWAIN driver and reinstall it. This requires the original software CD from Kodak.
1. From your computer desktop, click Start > Run. (In Windows 7, type run in the search box then click on Run.)
2. Type %windir%, then click OK.
3. Double-click twain_32.
4. Right-click Kodak, then select Delete.
5. Insert the KODAK All-in-One Printer Software CD into the appropriate drive, then go to D: > printer > scanner.
NOTE: The CD is indicated by D: above. The CD drive may be a different letter on your computer.
6. Double-click aioscannr.msi, then follow the instructions to remove it.
7. Go to D: > printer > scanner, then double-click aioscannr.msi, and follow the instructions to install the file.
8. Open Home Center Software:
a. Select Scan Documents and Pictures.
b. Scan a document.

Unfortunately, if the error persists, the scanner may need service. Contact Kodak: http://www.kodak.com/go/contact .

I don't have the driver for this Scanner


Hello, You can get this driver online,you go to www.google.com, type in the search box Umax 1220S flatbed Scanner device driver,follow the proceedure for downloading it.and install it.Or is you can get the CD that came with the scanner,the device driver will be there. hope it helps

Scanner will not scan an item into My Documents


try to uninstall then reinstall the driver. to do that go type device manager in run box in XP and start search in Vista/ Win 7, and look for the scanner. right click and uninstall. then load the driver from the website or from the cd that came with your device..

Novice / 1st time


You are luck you even got a manual! Anymore most instructions are either on the CD or online.

First do not hook up the scanner(USB I assume) . Install the software first and follow the instructions for installing. The program should tell you when to hook up the scanner cable.

After that it is trial and error to learn the software for the scanner.
If you provide the scanner model I might be able to help more.
