You can reformat it by opening up My Computer, right-clicking on the drive, and clicking format. I recommend formatting your drive as NTFS as it will give you an option.

Hi jlaybon

You cannot access with yout the password. I would suggest you to get the computer reformatted with the clean installation with the operating system of your choice.

Cannot reformat. Always says windows cannot complete reformat

The disk-drive inside the enclosure is malfunctioning.

Disassemble the enclosure, and remove the disk-drive.
Take the drive to any computer store, and buy a compatible drive -- same size, same interface (SATA? IDE?).
Then "transplant" it into the enclosure,
to "reconstitute" your external storage device.

Kingston pend drive cant open

If you are using Sandisk USB Drives, it may be that partition is password protected. If you can run the U3 Launchpad, it should prompt you for a password for you to access your "Drive F". Put in your password, and Drive F should be accessible.
