SOURCE: can't get top off kenmore washer model # 110 22852 100

No problem. What you want to do is this, remove the screws from the back panel first to remove that metal plate protecting the wires. Once off you need to take off the two covers on the sides of the control panel. There is one on each side, just pop them off. Once off you will see there is a screw under there holding the control panel in place. Remove the screws and that will lean back. Next take a flat head screw driver and put it under the lip of the lid on the front of the washer. I mean the lip that is about an inch down from the top on the front. Pry up and the whole lid will pop up. You will see the lid switch there held in by a screw, follow the wire to where it plugs in and unplug it and replace with the new one. Let me know if you have any other questions and if this was helpful to you. Always happy to help and good luck.

SOURCE: is the kenmore washing machien model 110 belt or

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.#######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

The Kenmore / Whirlpool top load uses a reversing motor to initiate the pump for draining and the transmission to spin.

If you cannot hear the motor trying to turn the pump, (but the washer will agitate) the problem points to the Timer, or the Lid Switch.

Try to bypass the Lid Switch by removing the Console and jumping the two outermost pins on the switch.

This is a Whirlpool PDF on how these washers operate. It has a diagram on jumping the switch as well as a detailed section on how the transmission works.

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf85257122007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

If the problem isn't in the switch, and the Timer continues to move, the problem is likely in the transmission.

We had the same problem:

If you lift the lid, put it down again and the washer begins to spin, the problem is likely in the transmission "Neutral Drain Assembly".

Those cams/gears etc. in that assembly keep the washer from spinning until all of the water is pumped out and then go into spin mode. Apparently, by opening and closing the lid, torque from the motor starting throws the cams into the right gears so that the washer will spin.

Ours had the same problem, no spin unless the lid was raised and lowered or we shut off and re-started the cycle.

After looking at the transmission parts list (available on a number of sites) and on the Whirlpool site (Whirlpool makes Kenmore) we noticed that the one of the cams in the neutral assembly which is supposed to have a small spring, didn't on ours when we tore the transmission apart again

http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/Repair%20Part%20List%20-%20W10114743.pdf

Found the part number for a kit (Whirlpool part number 388253 Neutral Assembly) for $15.00 and replaced the cams and gears.

In order to get the transmission out, you have to remove the cabinet, the fabric dispenser and both agitators. The top agitator uses a plastic 1/2" drive bolt (a 1/2" socket extension works well).

You don't have to remove the drum.

OR

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=137

Lay the machine down (after disconnecting power and hoses, remove the pump (two clips), the motor (two screws hold two clips on the motor), lift and set the motor aside, remove two 1/2

inch bolts for the motor mounting plate and three 1/2 inch bolts for the transmission. Pull the transmission, remove the clutch (there is a spring clip that holds the clutch on the main

agitator shaft, remove the 8 screws carefully the transmission holds 14 - 15Oz of oil, remove the clip holding the main spin gear on and check the plastic cams.

If the cam that should have a spring doesn't, or the others look damaged, the washer won't go into spin mode.

If that's the problem, install a Neutral drain kit, put everything back together carefully and the problem may be solved.

As an aside, fixing ours cost less than $30 including 80-90 weight gear oil vs. $170 for a new transmission.

SOURCE: Kenmore series 70 model 110 82376810, timer know

Appliance parts places don't stock the timers because they hardly ever go bad. Troubleshoot first! .I am not a repair professional. I am a 78 year old man
who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. So the washer or dryer ID doesn't mean much to me. I came to fixya looking for a schematic for an really old AM/FM radio and found that more than 4,700 people were asking for help with a washer repair. I recently had a washer repair of my own and at that time I found an excellent video which showed me how to take my machine apart. This video made it possible for me to do my own repair. If you are repairing a dryer or a front load washer I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good step by step trouble shooting and repair information on washers and dryers as well as other appliances. If you have a direct drive top load washer and need help taking it apart this video is an early christmas present. I was so impressed with it that when I saw all these people needing help, I wanted to tell them about it. If you look at the back of your washer and the panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove which would indicate you have a v-belt drive) chances are you have a direct drive and this video is just what you need. You can see it at www.acmehowto.com You will probably still need help in determining what the trouble is and how to fix it. After viewing the video or if you have a v-belt drive rather than a direct drive, I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good
trouble shooting and repair nformation on most
washers and dryers. I think you'll find what you need
there. Don't worry about the timer, they hardly ever
go bad. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.

Where can i get a belt for a kenmore dryer model # 122-00

do you have the old belt??? If so, take it to an automotive parts store and buy a belt the same size. If not take it to an appliance store that sells parts... and see if they can match it. If the old belt has any numbers on it that will be a big help. Have you tried Amazon or Ebay....??? I bet I can find a belt within a hour or two.

My mom has 3 machines ...needs instruction manuals on 2 ..kenmore..models 385.1664190 and model 158.17530... also needs a belt for this one.. the other machine is an..Euro-Pro model 9120...

The manual for the Kenmore 385.1664190 is available here: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/26171/KENMORE-Overlock-Machine-L9080230?brand_name_search=385.1664190 . You can purchase a copy here: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/instruction-manual-kenmore-385-1664190.aspx . I didn't see the manual available at Sears Parts Direct on the parts lists that I checked.

An except of the manual for the 158.17530 is available here: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/13415/KENMORE-Mechanical-Sewing-L9090181?brand_name_search=158.17530 . Sears Parts Direct lists two belts (parts 26 and 27) here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Sewing-machine-Parts/Model-15817530/0582/1220000/00026091/00002?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= . You can probably get the belts in any Sears store. Ask for the part numbers 50013 (originally 28908) and 30083. The manual is not available at Sears Parts Direct. You can get the full manual for $13 here: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/instruction-manual-kenmore-158-17530.aspx .

The Euro-Pro 9120 manual is not available as a free download. However, you can buy a copy for $15 here: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/instruction-manual-euro-pro-9120.aspx .

I hope this helps.

Owners manual for kenmore power-mate # 116

Greetings from GoVacuum,

I wasn't able to find the manual for the Kenmore model, however I did find the instruction manual for the corresponding Panasonic canister vacuum cleaner. Your particular Kenmore model is actually made by Panasonic for Sears, and then Sears puts the Kenmore name on the vacuum cleaner. They are identical internally, and have the same parts and components, besides the filter that is behind the bag. Sears makes Panasonic put a specially designed filter in the Kenmore's so that the customer has to go back and purchase that filter from Sears.

To download the instruction manual, please visit the link below;

You can also find a parts schematic of the power head below if you need to purchase parts;

I hope that this information helps you. Please let us know if we can provide you any further service, or if you have any further questions we can answer. You may email me at chris (dot) jones (at) govacuum.com.

Kenmore front load washer eco system belt

Go to Sears.com and follow the links for parts, you will have a search window for your model and their website has complete illustrated parts breakdowns with part # and prices.
Record the Sears belt part number and check with anyone who sells belts in your area.
They will have a cross reference to Sears/Kenmore part numbers so you don't even really need to know the size.
The replacement belt will have a length on the cardboard sleeve that you can add to your user guide.
