no, the needles are very small, and the acupuncturist puts them in in a way that does not hurt

Some people believe that acupuncture can treat lots of conditions. It is probably most frequently used to treat chronic pain such as headaches and bachaches. It can also be used for more obscure things like quitting smoking and fertillity issues.

yes, but for only 6 months at a time. Issues could be bigger than just reflux, (GERD, hiatal hernia, etc). Works by limiting protein in stomach. Issues, can be, with long term use, low levels or calcium, vitamin D, magnesium.
Dont take more than needed, can make issue worse if you take too much. This due to, you stomach needing juices to digest food, block too much of it and your body will go into over drive, and make some more. Not like a antacid, take before meals.
has worked great for me, but I have a hiatal hernia.
if you still have issues, get checkout.
good luck

To be honest, the best person to ask would be your GP/doctor. But it's possible your GERD could be causing damage to your throat/esophagus. (this isn't good for your teeth/throat at all).
Antacids, such as Maalox, Mylanta, Gelusil, Rolaids and Tums, may provide quick relief, for short term problems. It's non-prescription, quite easy to purchase from the pharmacy.
to reduce stomach acid production: (these are H-2-receptor blockers-H2 Blockers reduce acid production by blocking signals that tell the stomach to make acid) these medications include cimetidine (Tagamet HB), famotidine (Pepcid AC), nizatidine (Axid AR) or ranitidine (Zantac 25, Zantac 75, Zantac 150). H-2-receptor blockers don't act as quickly as antacids, but they provide longer relief.
Proton pump inhibitors block acid production and allow time for damaged esophageal/throat tissue to heal. Over-the-counter proton pump inhibitors include lansoprazole (Prevacid 24 HR) and omeprazole (Prilosec OTC).
However, if you want a proper diagnosis, it's always best to see your doctor. :)

Seems to be a very obscure make as Google doesn't know it. Generally a button to slide on only models or a button to press on new ones.

The correct Google search query is make model manual

They typically run for 24 hours for a session. Then stop so the information can be downloaded to a computer. See this manual, especially page 9.
