Power up and press open button as soon as it starts to spin, some dvds lock with read errors, some spit the disc out..
If the belt is worn open unit, remove tray and replace rubber belt, if you dont have one use a thick rubber band.
if you cant access rubber belt, most dvd's have a slide underneath. use a small screwdriver and manually slide it open.
Read errors are not always the dont go and waste money.
If your dvd is not hq using dc brushless motors, remove loader, give the spindle and sled motor a good lube with wd40, spin the spindle moto up with 5-7 volts to clean the commutator.
Carbon builds up and the motors dont spin at correct speed.
Sled remove drive gear, usually pops out and burn it clean as above.
I have had good results with above since 2004, repaired 1000's of dvd's over my 14 years as senior engineer for wholesale importer in cape town.
Good luck

Its probably a bad T-Con board as long as the screen itself isn't physically damaged, no cracks, etc. But if the T-Con board won't fix it then its not worth fixing, its going to be hard to get a replacement LCD panel, if not expensive compared to a new TV. If the T-Con board is cheap enough it might be worth a shot to try that, and if it doesn't fix it then its time for a new TV. Sad but true on these!

The power supply board is going to be inside, the easiest way is to just follow the power, from where you plug the power cord in to the first board that gets the incoming AC power, thats the power supply. If the red light comes on thats the standby power, so at least the 3.3v or 5v rail is working, depending on the model it could be one of the two, but the other voltages might not be available when you try and turn it on, bad capacitors is the most likely culprit on the power supply board. The only way to know for sure is check all the voltages, most tv power supply boards will have at least one connector with the voltages that each pin should have labeled on the board, but i have seen some that don't. I usually just look for bulged capacitors, replace those, and check voltages. If that doesn't fix it then it might not be worth fixing, replacement boards will add up fast, and TV's are so cheap now its hardly worth dumping a hundred bucks into repairing one.

It could be many things but i would start with the power supply board with the power problem, could just be bad capacitors, which is so common on tv and monitor power supplies.

However, the colored lines could be an even worse sign that the mainboard failed if the power supply output voltages are good.

I would start with checking the voltages from the power supply board, if your lucky the voltages are labeled at one of the connectors. If all the voltages are what they should be, and you don't see any bulged capacitors, then its most likely a failed mainboard. Not much you can do to repair them, just have to find a replacement, which in itself can be difficult!

The applicable code would be found in a compatible remote control, not in your Goodmans TV.

Hello Patricia, it is important that to take the stand you put the TV on a large table where the screen frame collapses and then you remove the screws and pull down the screen support, not have any eyelash or grimace lock, what you need to unlock
I sent you the link of the user manual
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil
