Washing Machines - Page 3 - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
My whirlpool washing machine is vibrating really loudly at end of cycle. I noticed plastic pieces of material inside the rubber seal between the drum .
Depending on the age of the machine there could be a number of factors going on here. There are shock absorbers in the machine that maintain balance of the drum while it is spinning. Sitting on top of the drum there is usually a large concrete block and some springs attached that limit the machines away from side to side and backwards and forwards. All of these parts work in conjunction with one another to stop or limit excessive vibration of the drum during a spin cycle. If these are worn or are degraded excessively then this could account for the extra vibration. It could also be that the machine is being overloaded which would cause this vibration too. As for the plastic that is tough to pin down. Ideally we could do with images of the plastic to advise you further.
