Links on segmented metal bands are held together with split pins. The pins can be delicate and easily damaged if the proper tool is not used and you may mar up your band. Harbor Freight Tools sells an inexpensive watch pin tool, if you want ability to DIY. Many jewelers and jewelry repair shops will fix you up in a few min for minimal or no cost in my experience

The hands are probably too close to the base of the watch. If You can get it apart, open it and see if that is the problem. Good Luck.

The format (12-hour and 24-hour) of the alarm time matches the format you select for normal timekeeping. When setting the alarm time using the 12-hour format, take care to set the time correctly as morning or afternoon.
