Hey Belbowski, Has it been sitting for a while?? Sounds like it could be several things.. 1. The needle and seat in the carb may be dirty/clogged/sticking and not allowing a full flow of fuel into the float bowl.. when the bowl fills, it will run fine for about 20 - 45 seconds then "run out of gas.. it will restart and repeat this over and over. 2. The petcock/fuel tank may be stopped up/clogged/blocked and not allowing a full flow of fuel to the carb... causing the same symptoms as #1. 3. ..maybe..you may have a vacuum leak causing the fuel pump to not pump enough fuel to the carb. = Symptoms #1 4. Fuel pump might be bad. = Symptoms #1 Once you eliminate these items... repost with results.

check that the pinion of the starter is engaging the flywheel teeth check that the over run clutch of the pinion is engaging and not over running when it is supposed to lock up to turn the flywheel

Check the starter to see if it is engaging the flywheel. There may be a flat spot on the flywheel so the starter cannot mesh with the teeth on the flywheel.

check and re-tighten the gasket screws

Check the electronic ignition circuit, you problem lies there. Could be something very simple like a ground wire failing to make contact.

I had a pressure washer that did the same thing, couldn't figure it out for the life of me.... took it into a repair shop and for 90 bucks I learned that a bad plug can work until it gets hot then die... If it was I .... I would change plugs make sure there are no restrictions in air... and then fuel lines... sounds like you are getting a residual fuel to fir up the machine and not enough or no fuel to keep it running....also check your oil level in case it is a low oil cut out... How long since the oil has been changed? Is the oil level OK? It sounds like you have a sticky valve that hangs open once in a while.

check kill switch--battery--fuses

I bet you have a nylon bushing that has gotten brittle and disintegrated. Your local Kawasaki dealer should have an exploded view of your machine. Look to where the linkage and cable meet on both ends.

not a car it is ATV offroad same on all things like this that is a DC battery feed power loss pure electrical failures. fuses bad or loose? battery is bad as it is intermittent and they do that. so key on all power is lost, so a voltmeter in hand finds them all if still dead testing bad battery lugs and cable ends. loose or rusty. the dash dead smacks of full power loss ! \and will be seen too in the fuse box, 12vdc lost there or even everywhere there dead. and bingo that. for sure. learn to do the test fast only when dead dash. if battery box fuses all then dead , so is the battery now. batteries have many failure mode. dead or intermittent (hot ..,/cold or vibration ) or open cell 1 of 6 (2 volts per cell) see 10volts there a cell is dead.!!! 12.6vdc is charged battery state, rested. or jumper cable jump start the battery in ATV from car. if dash wakes up bingo your ATV battery is bad. buy the service manual for Kawasaki and see all that clearly

do not hot wire fuel wires or it will catch fire just like sen on TV crash and burn. do no do that the service manual tells you how to set it up. or ask the dealer. new from whom a real dealer or Amazon liars to the max. and my need different version or programming by the dealer why not RTM them manual covers this.
