I hear a clicking noise, 3 - 5 times per second, from my 2016 Polaris Ranger 570 Full Size Model R16RCA57A. It occurs with the engine running in Park and continues when I turn off the ignition.

Well you may have already thought processed these ideas.....if it's a new sound that you have not heard before or one that's been developing, that you have been keeping an eye on, then it could be a failing or about to fail mechanism, if it's been a sound from the start of your ownership then it could be a mechanism that is faulty from mfr. And may or may not have a recall, but enough vehicles with a similar symptom might have had repairs from dealers and you may be able to get some info from the dealer,if not seek out a motorcycle mechanic, check your ownership manual, hope this helps

I have a 2015 polaris ranger mid size 4x4 electronic start. The engine turns over, the fuel pump seems to put out a good stream, but there is no fire. Are there some simple tests I can try? Wa

Make sure your rig is in neutral. Some types cut the plug power others cut all power. It does sound like a blown coil pack . If it was hard to start or ran rough when going this is an indicator but not always the case.

1995 polarismagnum 4x4 won't shift into high, or reverse, where do I find the transmission drain plug?

you might have a broken shift dog. try disconnecting the shift linkages and turning them with pliers first to see if shifter is out of adjustment first.

Sportsman 500 HO, stuck in reverse

Solution#1 worked perfectly. It only took about 15 minutes all together.
the side panel removes easily. It just slides out of the other panel. Once you have removed the handle (Shifter) and the other two bracket bolts, just place it back into the shifter housing and move it around. I was amazed at how easy this was to repair. I also turned the ignition to the on position to see if it was changing gears and it was.
Solution #1 repost originally posted by Jpach
I tried this today and it worked. Pull the sideplate from the ATV so that you have access to the gear shifter assembly. Unbolt the gearshift assembly from the mounting bracket. There are two bolts at the rear near the two rods that exit the assembly and three on the bottom. When the bolts are out, remove the assembly from the mounting bracket. Hold it in your hand and move the shift lever through all of the positions. This won't actually shift the transmission, but it should free up the rods in the assembly. Remount the assembly with the five bolts and it should now be able to shift out of reverse.

I have 97 Polaris Express 400 I haven't ridden in

U should have two sensors for the cooling system one is nerr the thermostat housing for temp light / gauge ,one on the cooler at the bottem left side should have two wires on it need to pull them off connect the two togather. That should make the fan come on, if not, look for a popped fuse should invest in a handheld inferred thermometer ,there really cheap .get them on eBay for between 11 to 20 bucks brand new use it to test temp on coolant hoses to see temp on top and bottom .if fan does come replace cooling fan temp sensor.

Have a 2000 polaris magnum 500 and it is a pain to get started choke seems too work fine even after i get it started it runs perfect but when i shut it back off its still hard too get started uselly g

If you are certain the spark plug(s) is in good condition and correctly gapped, and the magneto is working normally, then you may have a fuel system problem. A quick diagnosis of fuel system issues is to spray a shot of starter fluid or WD-40 into the intake through the throttle body. If the engine fires for a bit then quits, it's a fuel system issue. Small engines do not do well with old ethanol-containing fuel. If it's turned yellow, drain it out and replace it, and remove any in the carburetor float bowl also. Air leaks in the carburetor or intake manifold gasket may also cause hard starting. A sticky carburetor float or float valve is another possibility, especially if the engine was sitting for a long time with ethanol fuel drying out in the float bowl. A dirty air filter will also cause starting issues.

I have a 1996 400 liter Polaris 6x6 Big Boss w/ no manual. I presume the oil tank is set up to provide the proper mix ratio. How can you tell if it's malfunctioning/ What is the manufacturer's recomme

you can pull the oil tube off the carb for a couple seconds while its running to see if it drips oil. I'd run a synthetic 2 stroke oil, lubes better and burns cleaner.
