remove 2 bolts and cable from battery and pull out. will be stuck prolly have to pry on it a little. i will slide out eventually. good luck . can be difficult

locate wire from battery (pos) jump to wire to start button going in to start button on hot side. will need a test light or meter for this.just need to jump hot wire in to sw to hot out to starter button.any other wires will be safety sw just wire them together (.disclaimer : warning the atv may/will start when it is in gear after you change wiring . i will not be held responsible if that happens for any damage or bodily harm caused by following my suggestions. proceed at your own risk.) this is not recommended procedure !

Battery dead

could be sensor of some sort.I would check all the vitals on the cat,being sure all fluids are good.

When I was in the shop, we called things like this 'chasing the ghost' lol. You'll have to start tracing wires and checking all connectors and contacts and fuses. Test light and voltmeter will be your best assets here as well. Start at the battery and go from there. I'm unaware of any 'known issues' with the 2006 cats fitting that description but I'm sure it'll be something simple after you spent a large amount of time chasing it...it usually is. Good luck!

check the coil and check to see if you are earthed to the frame..maybe a new spark plug while your at it

usually cdi is remove and replace after making sure everything else is good.

If battery has full charge, then the current is not reaching motor. U need to check all switches, relays etc. that are in between the battery and the motor. Also check the battery connections for corrosion.

Try running it with the cap off the tank. Sometimes the cap will fail and wont allow air back into the tank when you draw fuel from it. This starves the engine of fuel.
