Polaris ATVs - Page 8 - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues
I asked the question about not hearing my fuel pump running on my 2006 Polaris 800, it's an ATV!!! When ever I turned key on the dash light comes on and you can hear fuel pump, it never shut off after a couple seconds, ever, I usually started it admeditally, I had started it after sitting couple months, started up right away, then after 30 seconds it shut off, now I turn key on no fuel pump running and no dash light on?? Only fueses I find are inside front compartment, a block of 4 fueses, there like reset fueses, there's a 6, 15,20,20 amps, they all seem good but not like regular fuse, think they reset??? There factory, had bike since new, question: one of them fuse be my problem???

I hear a clicking noise, 3 - 5 times per second, from my 2016 Polaris Ranger 570 Full Size Model R16RCA57A. It occurs with the engine running in Park and continues when I turn off the ignition.
Well you may have already thought processed these ideas.....if it's a new sound that you have not heard before or one that's been developing, that you have been keeping an eye on, then it could be a failing or about to fail mechanism, if it's been a sound from the start of your ownership then it could be a mechanism that is faulty from mfr. And may or may not have a recall, but enough vehicles with a similar symptom might have had repairs from dealers and you may be able to get some info from the dealer,if not seek out a motorcycle mechanic, check your ownership manual, hope this helps

Sportsman 500 HO, stuck in reverse
Solution#1 worked perfectly. It only took about 15 minutes all together.
the side panel removes easily. It just slides out of the other panel. Once you have removed the handle (Shifter) and the other two bracket bolts, just place it back into the shifter housing and move it around. I was amazed at how easy this was to repair. I also turned the ignition to the on position to see if it was changing gears and it was.

I tried this today and it worked. Pull the sideplate from the ATV so
that you have access to the gear shifter assembly. Unbolt the gearshift
assembly from the mounting bracket. There are two bolts at the rear
near the two rods that exit the assembly and three on the bottom. When
the bolts are out, remove the assembly from the mounting bracket. Hold
it in your hand and move the shift lever through all of the positions.
This won't actually shift the transmission, but it should free up the
rods in the assembly. Remount the assembly with the five bolts and it
should now be able to shift out of reverse.
