My 2005 Polaris sportsman 700 efi has a shift lever problem. It says in low where the high position should be. is it stripped or is there a way to adjust it?

your shift linkage could be out of adjustment. the two rods that run to your transmission. try disconnecting one and see if it shift *(without the engine running), then do the same thing for the other. if it shift into high without the low gear shift linkage disconnected, then they are out of adjustment.

Tranny works, shifter wont shift the gears. how to fix?

My 2005 Polaris ATP 500 requires I depress the right foot brake while shifting into reverse or down into low range. Perhaps some adjustment on the foot brake to make this work. Also check linkage to make sure it is not binding. Others say if the idle speed is too high, you may not be able to shift. Try shifting with the engine off to see if it goes into the gears, using the foot brake. If yes, try again while at low idle speed.

2009 polaris 850 sportsman, reverse will not work.

put some grease in the tranny, and while your at it check th back diff too, by just loosening the pumpkin bolt and sticking your finger in there to see if there is enough 75/90, if not just ADD TO THE PUMPKIN till it reaches the top of the bolt hole while the unit is sitting on its 4 wheels it should just be spilling out at the threads put bolt back in and hand tighten then snug but not too tight, tht should do it.

When my 2012 polaris sportsman 800 is in gear and i press the accelerater it dose not move. I tried putting it into high, low, and reverse and press the accelerater it dose not move. The primare and the...

If you have a primary and secondary clutch, and your ATV still fails to move with proof that they are working, my best advice would be to check the pilot shaft and the gears for excessive wear. Even in new products, the case of excessive wear can be well known, and it would be wise to take it back to the dealer if you continue to have the problem.

Atv transmission

sounds like the connecting rod on the crankshaft.
i would inspect the primary clutch first before an engine teardown. Sometimes the engine shifts on the engine mounts and the clutch hits the cover, also check to make sure belt is not slapping around in cover.

Hi, i have a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 4X4 400 liquid cooled, which just recently started leaking loads of coolant and also oil, it only leaks when it's stopped and cooled down... and now it's lost...

Sounds like two diffrent problems ,but the leaking of the coolent could be radiator ,bad hose or thermostat .If the oil is leaking it might have a sensor so you dont blow the motor ..I hope this helps ..If any thing please call local Polaris dealer so no futher damage ..Have a great xmas !
