Sounds Like the Plug Needs To Be Replaced My Friend and You Need To Adjust the Fuel Some way not so rich it,s running to rich for the power you have
My opinion, it's running rich and letting it idle for 5 minutes doesn't help. Whether it's carbed or EFI, when the machine is cold, it needs more fuel. As engine temperature increases, it doesn't need as much fuel, and the carbon that started building up on the plug is burned back off. When a machine isn't ran for very long, carbon deposits continue to build on the plug. The carb itself may need to be rejetted/adjusted, it it's running rich,
