These are often called plastic side covers or cowlings. Your Yamaha dealer should be able to give a quote on the price and then you can seek the part for much less elsewhere.
brakes might be out of adjustment or no pads left. you been riding in water ? dirt will get on the brakes and wear the pads out fast especially if it sandy ? pull the tires and check the pads and see if you have any left left, if so, adjust them. you can get a manual on adjusting brakes on yamahas online.
If you're in to low a gear, the clutch might be slipping under stress from high revs. You might need a new clutch or stronger springs. Try using a higher gear and use 50% braking.
drian engine oil take side cover should be an 8m to 12m depending on the model... the stator might be attached to the cover or might have a mount holding it into place to the fly wheel
