My 96 200 blaster has aloud clicking , I've changed the oil today, still sounds like something is wrong and it starts losing power in about 5 minutes of operations. Can someone please tell me what to do with it? Thank you so much for the assistants.

sounds like weak fuel flow. something blocking it or ???. it'll run off the carb bowl for a while.

Considering the age of the machine I'd be looking at basic maintenance first. Things like air filter, fuel filter, carb condition, spark plugs, oil and oil filter change. Then start thinking about valve condition and clearances.

take it the dealer.

That's sounds strange?
Oil can only leak out or the engine is burning it.?
If its burning your oil valve stem seals are worn it lets oil into your combustion chamber and burn it.
Maybe get a local mechanic to take a look.

sounds like a crappy ignition switch

the crankcase is filled with fuel from a leaking carburetor float (would be LOTSSSSS of smoke) OR Bad crankcase seal and its sucking in air, bad reed cage area seal, exhaust plugged up!

Sounds like you need a rebuild. Dont use cheap china parts, go online to http://www.amazon.com/Wiseco-PK1089-2-Stroke-Piston-Top-End/dp/B0050FYN4Y/ref=sr_1_sc_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1420937950&sr=8-2-spell&keywords=yamaha+blaster+wise+co And get this. This should be everything you need to rebuild it. Now you need to MIX your oil. Not use the tank. Google blaster oil tank bypass and just remove the tank as it can tear up the engine badly. The oil pump can send shards of plastic into the crank and cause it to fail. Once you have done this, You can have the engine built, mix the oil 32:1 and insert into the gas tank. After this is all complete it should all be running even smoother then before. For any other help go to www.Blasterforum.com

is it getting spark? did you check the compression?

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like a lack of spark to the spark plugs to me, have a shop check it out for you, menwhlie you can check all around your Yamaha blaster for any wires loose or not connected.

Sounds like the carb,has it been check after its test and tune ?
