My screen flashes and reads HOT. The fan is on all the time. The only way to get the fan to turn off is to disconnect the battery. Is it the ECM Module?
The local dealer told me that this model doesn't have and ECM Module.

Donald... Obviously NOT the same...
or SOMETHING IS cross-connected (miss-wired).
There are various after-market folks who specialize in modifying/profiling various engine modifications
to your ECM... or even pepping p the ECM to push
higher performance ...
For cars they are not too difficult to find...
My advice would be FIRST recheck your wiring... perhaps get a read-out of what has your ECM "up-set"...
ELSE...
Look for web-community and weed through the chatter
until you either find the TALENT to hire or the SKILL
to unscrew it yourself.
The program interface is pretty sophisticated... and as you NOW KNOW pretty easy to offend.
To try to disconnect the plug of the temperature sensoron the engine block and turn the start. If the fans topped working, then the problem is in the temperature sensor
There are 2 sensors for temperature. One near T stat housing for ECU reading. Other one in water passage for the light. The ECU turns the fan on by tripping the fan relay. The light comes on to tell you it's too hot. Check fan to make sure it turns. Check fan fuse to make sure it's not blown. Unplug fan motor and hot wire it to make sure it runs. If it does, locate fan relay and swap it with one of the others with the same numbers on it to see if fan comes on when engine heats up. If fan cycles normally the temp light sensor is probably bad.
2011 Polaris Rzr ranger there is a fuse in line under the floor pan below the battery that gets corroded on the main wiring harness removed and relocated above the backseat try that you could buy one at Napa for under $10 try it I had the same problem with mine good luck
This is a 500 4x4 and the fan is not coming on all the time causes it to run hot it's a 2012 done put new radiator and sensor on it used it yeasterday and had trouble with it could somebody please point me into right direction
ok two reasons here. 1st being the oil temp sensor or wiring to it from fan.test sensor when eng light is on . wire to sensor must be disconnected..ohms test. to grnd on atv. open or closed. now retest when eng is cold same test as b4. open or closed? if different reading assume sensor is ok. check wiring same way. can do wires eng cold btw. should find a relay for the fan on atv also thats part 2. be a small prolly black box near battery compartment (dry location) (up high ) trace wire from fan to relay then to sensor . pretty simple there . same as b4 either open or closed when hot and different when cold is ok if different. as always CHECK FUSES FIRST. CONNECTIONS SECOND. 95 % electrical ......dirty / bad connections.
