My 2006 arctic cat 500 automatic 4x4 overheating symbol flashing on and off and my speedometer and tach needle sweeps back and fourth

As soon as i start my COLD 4wheeler the overheating symbol starts flashing immediatly and the speedometer/tach needle sweeps back and fourth..whats up with that...its cold Thanks

CPU Unit may be faulty, will not give you true readings .
