You did not mention where the spark plug is when you see this blue spark, If it's still in the head with the spark plug cap on the spark plug.. replace the cap/wire/coil - probably a one piece unit. ..now, If the spark plug is out of the head, and the blue spark is jumping from the porcelain tip electrode straight to the curved tip electrode - that is GREAT! THE SPARK MUST jump STRAIGHT across the electrodes... sometimes it's really hard to see if it's jumping around the side of the porcelain tower, then to the tip..this is a fouled condition and it won't run - even though its a bright blue spark!! Seen it too many times!!

1988 Polaris Trail Boss 250 4x4 ATV won't start?

Question edited for clarity, plus full make model (what it is).
Question moved to our only Polaris Trail Boss category.

That is a lot of stuff to change all in one go. One of those items has caused the issue in what was presumably a running ATV? Always best to swap out one item as a time and check everything runs as expected before moving onto the next, checking after each replacement.

The last sentence is confusing even with my edit. I take it you mean it turns over, it catches the odd time, but won't run. In that scenario, and with all the parts you changed, I would check the spark plug gap and that it has a good fat, blue spark. The other thing is the carburetor settings as per the service manual. Engines only need fuel, compression and a spark at the right time.

2007 Polaris phoenix 200, has new fuel cleaned carb, good blue spark, fires don't start or run, plug lil wet but not flooded or soaked

If you have spark at the right time, fuel, air.... you might try a spray of staring fluid. I would then check the compression. If it is too low it will not start.

I have a 2016 Polaris sportsman 570 she's got a fuel pump tries starting her she will keep winding over but won't start any help would be nice

Make sure the kill switch is in the run position.

AN engine need three things to run:
Compression
Timed spark
Fuel

now.....
1*. Check the spark plug to make sure it is firing.. remove the spark plug.. make sure you have metal to metal contact and then turn the engine over.. (this might be a two man job).. the spark plug should have a nice big blue white spark,,(some electronic's will have a weak orange and still fire fine!)
2. Make sure you have gas in the tank and (going into the carb/FI)... (have to ask-actually have had 3 bikes in my career come in complaining -won't start...!! Add gas and they ran.. WOW!.. never charged any of them....the embarrassment on their face was payment enough!)
3*. While the spark plug is out... place your finger over the spark plug hole firmly .. keep the spark plug cap away from your hand..turn the engine over and see if it will blow your finger off..(it should blow it off the hole easily).

If any one of these three are not nearly perfect.. you have an issue!!

Check these and repost with the results...

Won't start, good battery, lots of spark, good gas, ran one day and not the next.

Hi Sandy:
Hmmmmm.
Something must have happened.
Back to basics.
Pull plugs, check for hot blue spark.
Plugs wet? Fouled?
If dry and spark then no fuel.
Drain/flush carb.
Change fuel filter.
Think of it as entertainment.
Cheers,
Happy New Year.

sounds like your high jet in the carb is either clogged or you have water in your fuel.

2012 Polaris Phoenix 200 Air box keeps filling up with oil. Any ideas on how to correct problem ?

labyrinth plate in the valve cover is the culprit , you need to get a new one from polaris and have it installed , unless you can do it . The valve cover needs to be taken off the cylinder head. , the labyrinth plate it's a different design from origanal design and stops the oil from filling up your air box.
