My atv won't start(500)rotax 2001 traxter XT...it turns over and over then suddenly it will back fire,,some history:brought it back from up north running fine when i put it on the trailor i tried starting removing it from trailor no go,i thought maybe it''s frozen so i put it into my heated garage,still no change...I have spark and yes there is fuel.....any ideas

If it is running but backfiring out the carb, I'd be looking at a burned intake valve.
If it's not nunning but backfires out the carb when you try to start it, I'd be looking at bad ignition or valve timing. I'd suggest that you review any recent maintenance to see if that could be the source of the problem.
It's in the back of the engine a major pain if starter turns and doesn't engage that's even harder then you have a bad one way bearing they are around 300 bucks and you have to pull the back of the engine off to change it hope it just the starter
