My 400 has a brake switch interlock. Don't forget to check that function.

If your battery is good then you have dirty or loose connections at the battery or the starter. Quite often this will be on the ground side.

SOURCE: polaris trouble codes

The Machine is new, do you have a warranty? Has the machine been sitting for a while? If so, a professional carb/fuel system cleaning and a new spark plug should take care of it.

I WOULD take it o the dealer and find out what the code means!!

2013 Polaris Ranger 800. How to hookup a starter solenoid in it please?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks to make model category.

The Solenoid Relay?

This? Test it.

Wiring, these is also a 'Start Diode', not sure what that is about, a diode only lets voltage travel in one direction.

The Polaris forums are a good source of information.

My 2010 Polaris Ranger 400 has no power.

My Polaris 500 started quitting on me. It turned out to be corrosion on the left handle bar kill switch wiring. After repairing, I pulled apart many wiring connectors and filled them with dielectric (does not conduct electricity) grease to make them resistant to water and corrosion.

2007 polaris ranger 500 efi 4x4 looses all power before key switch

Check the main fuse to the ignition switch. It will either come directly from the battery + terminal or pick up from the "hot" meaning "positive" side of the starter motor relay. If it comes from the relay you will locate it by following the main "positive" lead from the battery. From the relay you can then trace it to the main fuses. Hope this helps you out.

New starter, new battery, terminals all clean, battery tests 12.8 . Turns over slowly doesn't start any help?

Fully charged battery should read 14.4 volts. Try a jump from a running car, see if that helps. If not, your engine may be siezed.

Why does my Ranger not start properly?

Try replacing the solenoid, which is attached to the starter.
To test, run it until hot,let it sit for 5 minutes, try to start. Then, go and tap the solenoid with a hammer ,and try to start again. I bet you it will crank over.
